I would say the only good Microwit is Flame, but she is in the kitchen dangling from the wind chime. All three got into my bedroom and they started out nice enough with purring and rubbing and then all Hades broke loose and they became flying, furry missiles of doom without a rudimentary guidance system destroying anything and everything. They even wore Napoleon and Josephina out. Napoleon was helping me catch them at the end of the destruction lollapalooza.
By design I have had a very quiet day. My head has been hurting from yesterday and I have been moving as little as possible. The fact that it was in the 90’s had a lot to do with that. I napped through most of the hottest part and awoke to thinking the living room was an over. All the outside plants are wilted and screaming for water but at the moment it would just steam. Later tonight I will water.

The Moon enters Gemini at 5:46 PM EDT. The morning brings surprise emotionally and you have no idea how to react. There is a lot of energy this morning to put into domestic issues. A lot of talk about how to trim the budget at home starts this afternoon. There is a lot of aggravation with what you are really getting. The evening just brings more aggravation with change. Social events bring up old hurts and it might be a good idea to avoid them for a couple of days.

It is the beginning of the end. Fiona and Mr. B. have invaded my bedroom. Fiona is the worst love bug since Purdy von Sweets. In addition to the Microwits, I have the Kitwit invasion. When I left for the doctor, my laptop was safely sitting on the big round microbead pillow. When I returned, my poor laptop was sprawled in the bed, half out of its case and Josephina was in the center of the round cushion. That was not the end of it. I was hurting so bad I finally took a quarter of my pain pill and went to bed. As I am lying there, trying to doze off, notice I am being beat to death by Fiona. A quick check showed either Fiona had grown significantly or I had another cat. Sure enough, Josephina was beside me so I thought, I’ll just kick the big round pillow to the foot of the bed. It was surprisingly heavy so I turned the salt lamp on and there, right in the middle of it, curled up, was one Fiona like she owned the thing. Now, Josephina thinks she owns it and thus the pillow wars began…..at the moment, Fiona has custody but Josephina is sneaking up from the foot of the bed.
Last night I decided on a little cottage cheese. I couldn’t find the black pepper so I decided on just a touch of the six pepper fusion I bought at Costco. That went really well until the last two bites when I discovered one of those peppers must be cayenne. I dropped the bowl and grabbed the water bottle. Immediately Napoleon took that as his cue to finish my bowl. I mean, I did leave it unattended. He grabbed a mouth full, reared back on his hind legs and slapped that bowl silly. I think he found the cayenne pepper. That was the first time his food ever bit him back. Then he looked up at me for permission to kill it. I wisely took the bowl to the kitchen while it was in one piece. Right now, Purrbie is on my right waiting to help write the forecast and get the occasional stroke as I work.
Ah yes, the doctor’s appointment, he removed more scab. I won’t know how much until I remove the bandage but it hurt. It has settled down a bit now. We will discuss the second operation in three weeks after I go over the finances with the insurance company and discover how much more I have to spend, how much in flexible spending which is our money anyway, and how much I can finagle out of a budget that is stretched to the limit. Remember when you had insurance and something like cancer came up and you just went to the hospital and had it taken care up? Now you call the insurance company, the accounting department, get estimates from doctors and lastly, find a good attorney in case you need to declare bankruptcy. All of this while I watch the family jewels expanding on Mr B and Boogaboo and know I can’t get the cheap neutering because George makes too much money. By the time I got all their shots, which I do not agree with giving to cats that stay indoors their whole lives, to get them into the cheap clinic, it would equal the cost of getting them done at my regular vet less the neuter/spay charge at the cheap clinic. I went through that once before and wound up paying a hundred dollars or more than my own vet would have charged me! And anyway, I have trouble trusting my precious little bundles of fur to someone I don’t know. I know my vet will treat them like royalty and they are royalty.

It is hotter than Hades and I have two half working ac units which are barely making it bearable. I am sick at my stomach from the heat and this is the record breaking temp week for us in South Florida. Hopefully tomorrow I will get to Brandsmart and get a cheap ac unit and George will get it in the window if I can find the exact same size unit at a reasonable price. Then I may just live but I have the doctor tomorrow morning (Tuesday) at 9 AM and I know I can barely sleep. One look at me and he is going to offer pain pills I don’t need. I need COLD WEATHER. Unfortunately that is not covered under my insurance plan.
Even the cats are complaining which bring me to the real mess those little demons made. One of the industrial extension cords fell to the ground and they wet on the plug area and burned the cord out all the way through the wall to the outside fuse box. So folks, if you have cats and dogs, keep those extension cords off the floor or anything else they can wet on or you might just have a burned down house. And here I always thought it was George that would get me in the kitchen.

Message from the Mommy: Fiona has crossed over into love bug land and is slowly driving me insane. Boogaboo is still having an identity crisis. He almost turned into a love bug but couldn’t resist biting a finger and then flipped back. Poor Boy. He is so very conflicted today.

Sorry things are late. I didn’t say anything yesterday because I didn’t know what had happened until I took the bandages off for cleaning last night. I started yesterday feeling like someone stuck an ax in my forehead. Then there were ‘stitches’ throughout the day. My scab split and moved away from the edges. Today, it is whacking me every few minutes and I am just not able to do much of anything. I am looking forward to bedtime. I honestly think the thing is intelligent. It seems to start this every Friday and ruin my weekend.
Fall has ended in South Florida and we will, as the weatherman put it, be flirting with records starting tomorrow with temps in the 90’s. It was a nice two days while it lasted.

Sorry things are late. I didn’t say anything yesterday because I didn’t know what had happened until I took the bandages off for cleaning last night. I started yesterday feeling like someone stuck an ax in my forehead. Then there were ‘stitches’ throughout the day. My scab split and moved away from the edges. Today, it is whacking me every few minutes and I am just not able to do much of anything. I am looking forward to bedtime. I honestly think the thing is intelligent. It seems to start this every Friday and ruin my weekend.
Fall has ended in South Florida and we will, as the weatherman put it, be flirting with records starting tomorrow with temps in the 90’s. It was a nice two days while it lasted.

As I was fixing my bowl of cottage cheese and boiled egg for breakfast, Fiona jumped up on the sink and threaded to have a genuine, honest to Goddess, Fiona sized fit if I did not give her a slice of boiled egg. She actually ate half of it. My training has begun anew.
Our PC, Personal Cat, as she was named after Patches refused to stick, passed to the other side this morning. She was a very old cat and is survived by her last sister, Princess Probe One. Her last six months had left her blind but perfectly able to navigate the house she had lived in since she was about twelve weeks old. She had an easy transition with all the cats around her and will be buried tonight at the living room window she loved so much. I am afraid my older cats are passing on and the new generation of Wit Cats (Catwits, Kitwits, Bitwit and Microwits) are taking their place.
Several people have asked me on several venues to explain what a ward is. A ward is any symbol used for protection on a person or location that has been energetically charged. It can be anything from a Star of David to one of the many sigils in a three inch thick book I own to your own specialized, created sigil. However, a ward is not a charm, a mineral or a physical object. Wards are drawn symbols.
I know what the next question is; I am psychic. How do you charge a ward. There are several methods. Drawn at the proper time, a ward will absorb the ambient energy around it. It will not be as strong as a charged ward. There are two schools of thought on charging and probably more that are about to write me, but we will stick with the two biggies. One believes that the worker gathers their internal energy and transfers it into the ward either mentally, through a conduit like a casting wand or via blood. The other group believes that the worker grounds themselves, opens their crown chakra and allows the Universal energy to flow through them into the ward. The first group reasons that when the individual’s energy is used, the ward is very specialized and will work better at protecting them. The second group feels the Universe has a greater amount of energy than an individual and will always lend its energy to positive protection. Which is right? Well, I’ve been known to use both methods at the same time. Whatever works for you is the right answer.
How are they actually created? At first, they are drawn, physically, with the right color of charged ink on parchment paper or carved or burned into wood or stone which has been cleared and sanctified. As an individual gets better at it, they can mentally draw the sigil. There are many sigils I can easily invoke without drawing them out on paper. As you use the sigil more and more, you can visualize the entire sigil and put it into action without tracing the whole thing out in your mind. At least, some people can. Leaving part of the sigil out is going to invalidate it, weaken it or turn it into something else, so don’t try the last trick unless you are very, very sure you can do it. There are several sigils that are burned into my mind so well, the entire thing will pop up in front of me on command, but I have an eidetic memory that allows me to remember tremendous amounts of detail when triggered like a photograph. It is why I am multilingual, extremely good at math and managed to overcome dyslexia. That is not a common phenomena.
Which is more powerful, a simple symbol or a complex sigil? Normally, the latter because the amount of effort placed in its creation enhances the energetic properties. It is also not diluted. In other words, crosses are everywhere. They are streets, windows on buildings, on jewelry…anywhere two objects cross you have one. I had the Microwits laying over each other last night forming a cross. However, the Greater Seal of Jupiter is not everywhere. So it makes it easier for the specifically invoked energy to find that particular symbol than that of a cross that is everywhere. The more hoses you have attached to the water main, the lower the water pressure. It is the same with sigils (wards).
However, using the same ward multiple times in a location creates a stronger field, just like four lamps create more light in a room than one.
Goddess what a night. I got part of the room rearranged and I don’t think I really made a dent. How did I get so many books? The scary part is I had read them all. I count 4.5 Costco plastic boxes full and there are more yet to be boxed. No wonder I need reading glasses. Then the cats became jealous of the computer. First they turned the power strip off. Then they disconnected the charger from the computer. Then they unplugged the power strip from the wall. I was ready to wring necks. Napoleon is so upset the things in the room are moved he was having a running, jumping fit and finally collapsed at the door. Maybe I will now get some rest. He is such an old man for such a young cat. He hates change.

I can outsmart the cats. I will sneak into the kitchen and make coffee. I will have a boiled egg and some cottage cheese and sneak back into the bedroom and have a nap. That, my friends, is how I started a full fledged cat riot resulting in everyone getting fed, me wide awake eating a boiled egg and totally forgetting the cottage cheese. No, I cannot outsmart the cats. I should know that by now.

Last night was get the dead TV to the curb night. I strongly believe that any electric cord left to its own devices for a month will crawl under something, intertwine table legs or rollers and generally become totally inaccessible. It will be impossible to disconnect without getting to the wall outlet. This does not apply if you really want it to stay plugged in because then it will fly out of the outlet every chance it gets. So, now you have a general idea why I had to lift one small chest of drawers to get the stupid TV plug out so the TV could be moved. There is no way on earth, or any other planet, I threaded that cord under the chest of drawers. Now down suggest I should have cut the cord because even though the appliance is off, the cord still is live and electricity hates me. I finally got it onto the bed and George came to pick it up and swore there was no way he had gotten it into the bedroom in the first place. What? He thinks it materialized. Anyway, it finally made it to the curb but I must say, those old TV’s are way heavier than the new flat screens that I carried in one hand to the cash register at Target. Way heavier than I remembered as I nursed my aching back all night. Anyway, it is gone and its spot will soon be filled by something I actually use.
Aside from Napoleon knocking everything down I moved last night, the fun part came later. I have had my train case that I keep my makeup in sitting in the same location for a month. Purdy von Sweets always sits on it before she decides where in the bedroom she will choose as a semi permanent location. Last night George moved it. She came bounding down the hall, jumped for the case and there was nothing there. Splat! She is not sure what went wrong. Cats are creatures of habit.
I got my Vampire Sunglasses in from SpiritHalloween and they are lovely. I shall be able to see in a dark room through them even though they are sun glasses. The glass (plastic lens) is rose and it brightens everything but it has a UV rating. Now, I await my Ebay box with the coffin sun glasses. If I had waited, I could have gotten all of them from the same source on Ebay. If anyone is thinking about those nice high heeled witches’ shoes, whatever size you wear, order up. I wear a 9 narrow and the 9 is more likely an 8 to 8.5. I hope they take them back and exchange them because my foot is not going in them, literally. I found Spirit because I was trying to find a sleeveless witches’ or vampire costume. It can be really hot in the room I do readings in at the Witches’ Ball. They were the only place with an open sleeved dress that might as well be sleeveless in plus sizes. I was considering the forest nymph but at my age, I think I would have looked silly. I know, I can sew but I just don’t feel like it this year. Anyway, my next project is going to be semi-quilted altar cloths. I know most people are going to declare them quilted but my aunts all quilted and this is not going to be quilted. They will be made on a machine and there will be glue involved. My aunt is probably ready to smack me from the spirit dimension right now. And that is why the bedroom is getting a total rearrangement and make over as quickly as I can get the energy. I need room to work.
Now, the Kitwits are working very hard on knocking over every book, magazine and box they can push over in the bedroom. I think I’ll take a nap!
But before the nap, psychic vampires: Before deciding on a method of protection, you need to determine where you are most vulnerable. For every day out in the world encounters sealing your aura is enough, but if you have attracted a constant attacker, you will need more. A good protective mojo bag will give you a boost or the right mineral will work to enforce a sealed aura. However, there are times and places where you are more vulnerable to attack than normal. Whenever you are asleep, you are most vulnerable. Be very wary of someone who says they keep dreaming of you. They may be sucking you dry while you sleep. To protect against them, I begin by placing wards on the doors and windows to the bedroom and any wall that has no door or window. You are always most vulnerable in your bedroom. Do not forget the closet. There is something to the monster in the closet and under the bed that children instinctively know about. If the person has visited and knows the arrangement of your bedroom, move your bed. If that doesn’t bring relief, draw a ward under your bed and seal your aura and bed space every night. If that doesn’t help, buy a cheap plain sheet and a permanent marker and draw the symbol on it. Use it over your bed spread and sheet at night for protection. You may have to create a second one and have it next to the mattress you are sleeping on so you are sandwiched in. Never allow the symbols to be seen by outside eyes. If a person knows what you use for protection, they can use it as a homing device. The other locations you are vulnerable in are where you meditate, where you watch TV or listen to music and any place you normal relax or nap. Always ward your front and back doors. This is common practice in most countries where they use a metal plaque of some kind affixed to the door jam on the outside, or something over the door. That is the real purpose for placing cinnamon brooms over your doors during the holidays. Cinnamon is a Mars spice used for protection and the broom is used to sweep negative energy away. Horseshoes are dressed and used for the same thing, Feng Shui coins and statues of saints. You have a wide variety of innocent looking things you can use. If you don’t feel instant relief, switch symbols and methods of protection.

If the person has visited and knows the arrangement of your bedroom, move your bed. If that doesn’t bring relief, draw a ward under your bed and seal your aura and bed space every night. If that doesn’t help, buy a cheap plain sheet and a permanent marker and draw the symbol on it. Use it over your bed spread and sheet at night for protection. You may have to create a second one and have it next to the mattress you are sleeping on so you are sandwiched in. Never allow the symbols to be seen by outside eyes. If a person knows what you use for protection, they can use it as a homing device. The other locations you are vulnerable in are where you meditate, where you watch TV or listen to music and any place you normal relax or nap. Always ward your front and back doors. This is common practice in most countries where they use a metal plaque of some kind affixed to the door jam on the outside, or something over the door. That is the real purpose for placing cinnamon brooms over your doors during the holidays. Cinnamon is a Mars spice used for protection and the broom is used to sweep negative energy away. Horseshoes are dressed and used for the same thing, Feng Shui coins and statues of saints. You have a wide variety of innocent looking things you can use. If you don’t feel instant relief, switch symbols and methods of protection.
