Today is the first day the Japanese start climbing Mt. Fugi. It is the highest peak in Japan and represents the ancient Fire Goddess of the Ainu people. She is the grandmother of Japan. The climbing season ends on August 30th. Now why exactly anyone wants to risk life and limb climbing a mountain is beyond me, but enjoy yourselves! I’ll watch through the window of a nice 4 star hotel.

Yee gads, we are in July. Summer is half over. Well, not in Florida. Summer will last until around November here when we get one day of Fall and maybe a week of winter come January. The rest is Summer! Right about now we are all wondering if it is every going to stop raining.
It is hard raising a reincarnated kitten. Bluemantoo has distanced himself from all the other Microwits, established his own territory and looks up at me with totally adult eyes.
Well, scratch anything I may have said about the order I am getting in. I am getting less than half of what I ordered: just another victim of the Depression we are in. Supplies will get harder and harder to get and you will see more homemade things as manufacturers go out of business. I ordered 10 of one candle. I will be getting two. Nothing went to back order which means they do not expect to be able to get it in again. This is nothing fancy, just your basic supplies.
I was looking forward to picking up some one of a kind charms from Indonesia from a supplier I have been buying from for 17 years at shows. They are now out of business. I am hanging in them because like most Pagan businesses, I started with nothing and still have most of it left.
