Although April Fool’s Days has a rep for being the day to pull pranks, keep in mind it is also the day to honor the Trickster. The Trickster appears in every religion except the Judeo/Christian ones where he became the Evil One or Satan. However, the snake in the garden of Eden is portrayed as tricking Eve into biting the apple in a quest for knowledge. Somehow, I’ve never been able to see the quest for knowledge as a bad thing. The Trickster delivers his knowledge via playing tricks on you, so maybe, he sneaked in there without them knowing….that is how he works. He is represented by a variety of animals among them: the fox, squirrel, owl and crow.

Goddess, did we have a rain. George had to wade out and turn the van around for me to get to the shop! We are flooded. Guess I don’t have to water the plants though a few are asking for a bail out.
Ever wonder how cats get up trees and can’t get down. Last night Napoleon got the “evils”. Next thing I know, he was running up the cat log, standing on his hind feet ready to leap when he discovered there was no place to go. You should have seen the look on his face. If ever a cat could have said, “Oh, S**t!” that would have been it! He just stood there on his hind legs at the top of the cat log, trying to figure out what to do next. That’s how they wind up at the top of tree.
I have coined a new phrase. You know when a battery is at the end of its life and all it does is faintly light the flashlight? Well, I am now calling that state - Zombie Batteries. They aren’t dead but they really can’t do much. Have you noticed how batteries come in a four pack and everything seems to just need three. So you have to buy at least three packs before you use up the extra batteries by which time you have lost them and get to start over again. I think it is an evil plot.

I was quite flattered when one of the Catwits: Lenuxx came into be petted and sleep with me. Their little noses have been out of joint for quite some time because of the Kitwits. Then the rest of the Catwits showed up and the war for Mommy began with the Kitwits. At 7 AM I still had managed not a drop of sleep in this continuing war. As I would throw one out, two would get in. I finally dropped from exhaustion. I am probably bruised from head to toes from kitty paws as Catwits are way heavier than Kitwits. Then the war began anew at noon with the Kitwits fighting, male against female, for possession of the new Giant Fur Mouse. I came to the shop to get some peace and quiet.
Now that comes under the heading of another bad idea. Ra and Bitwit are fighting over possession of Mommy. They are putting a roof on across the street and cutting a trailer up behind the building. I am going to go home and hide. Hopefully tomorrow will return to some semblance of order, peace and quiet!

Tomorrow will be a busy day and I already have reading scheduled, so I am doing a weekend forecast.

This weekend’s Tarot Card is the Three of Wands: cohesion. I do believe we have a theme for the weekend! This is a card of creative conception and preparation. The way to achieve your goals this weekend is meditation and contemplation. Those images that have been just out reach knocking around in your subconscious are valuable ideas you need quiet time to see clearly. They have insights for the rest of your life.

Spring has sprung. That’s my theory. I painted my toe nails and got out my sandals. It helps that it will reach 86 degrees some time this weekend. Everything is growing. My sinuses are totally bricked up due to pollen. The cats are running and jumping like kittens. The birds are demanding extra food. Yup, its spring.
On my way back from the Post Office, there were 9 huge turtles sunning themselves on the canal bank. There was not sun but they had their feet stretched out, drying out. I’ve never seen that many together at the canal. On my foray to the Post Office I also discover I am not the only person with a Faery Garden in the neighborhood. The Fae are taking over.
I had Napoleon on one side and Purrbah on the other last. That is sort of like sleeping between two volcanoes. They are hot and you never know when they are going to erupt.
I just finished two of the Kay Hooper Evil series. If you want to read a good murder mystery starring psychics you should read these and the Blood series and the Bishop trilogy. April is coming and with it the new Heather Graham novel: Nightwalkers….paranormal, zombies, vampires….Las Vegas! What’s not to love?
This is a strange day, folks and I am quitting the forecast while I am ahead.

Yesterday for the first time, I went home an hour early because I was too sick to hold my head up. I am thankful all my clients understood and it was even their suggestion. Seems I was pale enough to classify as a vampire. Contrary to suggestions, I do not have a coffin I sleep in at home. I’m naturally pale.
Bitwit insisted on taking care of me. She sat in my lap and on my shoulder and purred and rubbed me. When I went hope the Kitwits took over. It was Josephina that finally tipped me off as to how they can tell I am sick. Somehow, they smell it on my breath. That is weird, but so far they are 100% accurate.
I am still not totally up to par and I may even leave early today. That was one mean little bug!
Is there anyone out there that actually thinks the Right Wing has any plans to allow psychics like me to survive? From day one of their party with good old Jesse Helms, the cry has been: Suffer ye not a witch to live! A witch is legally defined as anyone who is psychic or a healer not using conventional medicine. Read your local and national laws some day. You are on the internet…do a search. What is Sarah Palin’s church’s stance? Did they not invite a ‘witch hunter” from Africa to bless her run for governor? Do you really think they are going to welcome the ‘customers’ with open arms after they burn us at the stake? And by the way, the proper translation of that passage is: Suffer ye not a poisoner to live. Poisoning heads of state and church was a BIG problem back then and without chemical analysis, it was next to impossible to find the perpetrator. It was considered the most heinous and cowardly of crimes.
People continue to ask if I know what is going on. Doesn’t anyone remember that a year ago if you even suggested Bush fail, you would have been persecuted, prosecuted and ridiculed, called a traitor and generally tarred and feathered and yet, you have US Senators standing up and stating they hope President Obama fails. Heck, if you didn’t have your little flag pin in place you were a terrorist. It’s like Bush never happened. We jumped from Clinton to Obama in one leap and everything is the Democrats fault. I have to admit, this is far beyond the race card. It is pretty insane. FOX news is the liberal media….On what planet???? Rush is a patriot and trusted commentator. The man is a drug dealer and addict even if the drug is a “legal one“. Hey, court case…anyone remember the bags of 500 pills? Wakey, wakey…..For those of you with no experience, one quarter of the lowest dose of oxycodone, knocks me out. He was taking the highest dosage to the tune of more than 500 pills a month. The stuff is a hallucigenic pain killer. You are not exactly sane on it. It is percodan (Percodan contains aspirin and oxycodone) or percocet (Percocet (oxycodone with paracetamol/acetaminophen) in a different carrier making it more potent. In ten years of working in a psychiatric office, we never - NEVER - got one person off percodan or percoset. It is the most addictive drug I have ever seen and I’ve seen them all. This is because it is labeled as being psychologically addictive instead of physically addictive like heroin. People would do anything to get that drug. AND, they became paranoid after a few months of addiction, really, really paranoid. You have no idea how much I hated dealing with anyone addicted to that drug. It was an exercise in walking on egg shells and the outbursts could be violent. So next time the doctor offers you a script for that stuff, you might want to really, really limit your intact and if you have any addictions, including tobacco, consider passing on it. It grabs some people with one dose. I only take my little quarter of a pill when the nerve pain is so great I absolutely, positively cannot take it or sleep. During the day, I can tolerate the pain. At night it gets to me. But I still have practically the whole script from November and it was about 7 pills. So, if you are careful, you can tolerate the stuff, but I never take it two nights in row or for that matter even twice during a week. I admit I am scared of it and I have a non-addictive personality. You should be scared of it. You don’t realize how it is affecting you while you are taking it. Everything seems normal to you. Read the side effects of the carrier some day. You will be flushing the stuff fast. None of these pills comes without a price and the price is often something you will not be aware of like liver, pancreatic or heart problems until it is way too late to save your life.
Hey, I didn’t know I was super sensitive to aspirin until the cardiologist had me taking the low dose aspirin and a couple of months later, the nurse couldn’t get my blood to clot after a routine needle stick. They thought I was on Heparin (blood thinner) and all I was taking was a baby aspirin a day. Herbs are no safer, people. They are what these drugs were originally derived from. Don’t put it in your mouth unless you know what it can do! A half an hour on the internet doing a little research isn’t much when your life is on the other side of that balance scale. Two pills are not better than one. Sometimes, they are actually less effective than one except for the part where they kill you. Drugs work on a bell curve. Your doctor prescribes at the top of the bell. Take more or less and you are decreasing the effectiveness. It doesn’t matter which way you go except from the point of living after taking it. Don’t be afraid to call your doctor or pharmacist and ask questions if anything doesn’t feel right. You would really laugh if you knew some of the side effects. One Blood Pressure medicine can cause you to start coughing. It did me and the nurse in the office. We both had to stop taking it after one day. AND, while I am on this…take your medication with water. Sodas, juices, teas and coffee can interact with your medication and turn it into something different from what you have in the little pill. It may be a bad different. It may eat your stomach lining up or just render itself ineffective. Try to take it with a whole glass of water…8 ounces for best effect. That goes for vitamins. Know that fish oil everyone is taking? Read the instructions. They say: take after meals with a full glass of water. Read the instructions. I take most of my vitamins after dinner because the body repairs itself during sleep, so I give it the tools before bed. It makes no sense to give it to my body in the morning when it is not in repair mode. I do take the antioxidants in the morning to combat the toxins I will encounter during the day.
If it says take 3 times a day, you divide 24 by 3 and get 8 and you set your alarm for every 8 hours. That allows you to maintain the optimum level of the drug in blood stream and this is very important for antibiotics. Otherwise you give the bugs time to start multiplying and becoming immune to what you are using to kill them. You will build a better bug. In the war against disease, you do not want to leave one of the little beggars alive to multiply. Its offspring will be stronger and nastier.
I steamed when I found out the rich were getting 39 cents out of every dollar they gave to charity off their income taxes while I was getting 28 cents under the Republican tax breaks. Actually, I’ve never declared a dime I gave to charity. If I am giving to charity, it is not for tax reasons. I can’t wait to see what the rest of that law looked like Congress happily passed for Bush. Yes, I feel like a recipient of the trickle down economics and I got the same trickle on my head I get standing under the bird feeder.

I am trying to type with an exhausted Napoleon on my arm. He is so sweet….We went to Target to get George’s prescription tonight and have a pizza night. I love the Asian Chicken Pizza from Pizza Hut. George goes for the Rustico. They were closing the Giant Fur Mice out. I had visions of running out of Giant Fur Mice before Napoleon runs out of 9 lives and it was not a nice vision. So, I grabbed 5 and then went back and got the rest of them. George said if the cops stopped us and searched the Vanwitch, I was in charge of explaining the bag full of Giant Fur Mice.
Much to my pleasant surprise, Target had Burpee seeds and I got a package of lunaria seeds, also known as Honesty and Money Plant. My favorite faery is known to disguise himself as one of these so I will try to grow some. I’ve never had any luck with onions, but they had a package of Red Blush scallions and I thought - why not? I will let you know how they do in South Hades, I mean Florida. I also got something called a Mexican Hat flower - sombrero. We shall see if it really does take the heat they say it does. And lastly, I couldn’t resist the Bunny Tails: lagurus.
This comes under the heading of dumb, dumb psychic. About three days something said to get some of the sanitizer and use it on shopping carts before I touched them. Well, you know how it goes…when I get to the store…if I remember and you don’t. I woke up this morning after getting no sleep last night with the worst flu symptoms and I know I picked whatever it is up at Target last night. Those plastic handles on carts are germ magnets and they don’t air clean as well as metal. So…DUMB, DUMB PSYCHIC! George called a few minutes ago and offered to help and I said I just wanted to die in peace. I hope this is a 24 hour flu.

Old Mr. BoBo was on the sink this morning so I got him a slice of smoked turkey lunchmeat. He loves the stuff and so do I. It works better than a sleeping pill. Anyway, I gave him a slice in a bowl and he grabs it and jumps off the sink. Now anything with half a brain knows meat touching the floor is like the Bat Signal for Josephina who instantly turns into Demon Cat. Sure enough, she got half the slice, turned into Demon Cat, swatted several cats and woofed it down. By the time she returned for the rest, BoBo’s brain cells had started firing and he had hid.
I just realized I forgot to bring the big pots from the house for the two tomatoes I have yet to plant. My senior moments are turning into senior hours.

The bad news is the Van Van, another of my favorites, and the Reverse Evil Oil won’t be in until after tax time. Shoot, I really want the Reverse Evil Oil for my income tax return! However, the 4 Thieves Vinegar is in and with any luck, I will have everything up on the web page by evening.
There is a lot of confusion about Follow Me Boy Oil. It was originally formulated for prostitutes. It is designed to get a man’s attention, part him from his money and get rid of him. So, if you use this as a love oil, he is liable to wake about an hour later and wonder what the heck he is doing here. The cats have worn themselves out with the current state of the weather. It…oh heck…after last night’s deluge….NO WAY I’M SAYING THAT! My chives have bloomed. I have never seen a Chive flower so this is a big deal for me.
Who is to blame for the current state of the union? I had the unmitigated gall to suggest it was the Republicans. Oh dear goddess, I may have hurt a Republican’s feelings. Gee whiz golly…for the last 8 years we Democrats have been called socialists, communists, traitors, pacifists, idiots and anything else you can think of by the ruling party. And who was the ruling party? When George Bush took over the presidency, the 106th Senate and House (1999 - 2001) were ruled by a Republican Majority 55 to 45 and 223 to 211 respectively. The 107th Congress, 2001-2003 saw another Republican majority in the House of 221 to 212 while the Senate was split 50/50. The 108th Congress, 2003 - 2005, was also ruled by a Republican Majority of 51/48 in the Senate and 229 to 204 in the House. The 109th Congress (2005 - 2006) was also ruled by a Republican Majority of 55 to 44 and 231 to 202. The 110th Congress (2007 - 2008) saw the balance slightly tip with 49/49 being the ratio in Congress with 2 Independents expected to vote Democratic. There were 237 Democrats and to 203 Republicans. However, though the Republicans continuously voted as a block, the Democrats did not and crossed party lines to give the Bush Administration the go ahead in almost every vote. During this period, state and local judiciaries were packed with Republican Judges most of which will remain in power until they die or get impeached. Now, who has been running the country for 8 years? If you can’t figure it out, I can’t help you. Heck, my cat can figure this one out. George Bush took over with a balanced budget and a surplus, he left us so far in debt I can’t even wrap my mind around it and the Republicans scream we are the spend and borrow party. Am I hurting any Republican feelings yet? Heck, I’d like to slap you up side the head. How dare you suggest my party, who has been in power 40 days is responsible for this mess and another 4 years of yours would have straightened it out! You put us here. Any more questions? Good! This is the result of 8 years of fiscal irresponsibility when the rich got richer and the poor didn’t notice until someone foreclosed on them. Now the rich are still rich and the rest of us bear the burden.
How much responsibility goes to the banks? We needed to borrow about 15,000.00 to put a new roof on the house on a 10 - 15 year loan. It wasn’t a I’d like a new roof, it was a new roof or order buckets by the dozen. The lowest amount any bank or mortgage company was interested in loaning us was 100,000.00. They drove us nuts! I finally asked one loan officer if it really made sense to loan someone that amount of money on 30 year mortgage when they would be 90 years old before the loan was paid. Blank Look! I finally had to threaten to change my phone number if they didn’t leave me alone. They were calling 2 and 3 times a day. I asked to see the loan papers, just FAX them to me. Nooooo, I would see them when we came down to sign them. Sure…without a lawyer I’m going to sign a multi page document and put myself in debt for a hundred grand. My mother didn’t raise stupid children. So we got taken for all our 401K by a crook the local government gave licenses and glowing reports to because no one checked anything and we are up on the roof nailing shingles on ourselves and trying to budget them out of our monthly income. Bitter - Hell yes. Any more questions? Oh and what kind of help did we get from our local Republican board? They tired to repossess our paid for house on zoning violations after they issued the licenses to this crook. Don’t you just love the blame victim mentality of the last 8 years? Oh, I forgot, the Republicans are the victims.....sniff.

Do you feel like something has trickled on you? Okay, I was raised Old School. When I was in the Master Program in psychology, my mentor, a brilliant man, told me all about how he raised his kids: dared anyone to impose potty training on them, never raised a hand to them and gave them unconditional love. In the next breath, he told me how he taken most of his paycheck to buy his daughter a new microwave (they were expensive back then) and he knew she was just going to sell it for drug money. To this I replied that pretty much since the day I was born I was trained to take responsibility for my actions or there would be a reaction and I probably wouldn’t like it. I was potty trained by the time I could walk, love was not unconditional and I got smacked often for legitimate transgressions. Here I am in your office, an honors student, no student loans, working my rear off to graduate and make a better life for myself. And now that I think about it, I think Dr. Phil stole my catch phrase as I asked him how his methods were working out for him. He looked blank and I reiterated. You’ve got two drug addicted kids mooching off you for drug money with criminal records, living in flops, flunked out of college with huge student loans and you are spending most of your pay check on them. I have a good job, am getting an education I am paying for without a loan, don’t even have a parking ticket and my parents wouldn’t buy me a cup of coffee if I was dying of thirst. I got myself into it, I can get myself out of it and pay the price for my thirst. How’s your method working out for you?
That is how we got into this mess. Half of us were raised to take responsibility and couldn’t even conceive someone would behave the way these Robber Barons did. Check your history books and find out what that title means. The other half can’t see how they could possibly be at fault and anyway, we still love them, don’t we? NOT! I hope with all my heart we are ushering the new era of responsibility in our President is trying for.
And that applies to everyone, including psychics. You can’t just blurt out anything hits your mouth. You have to take into consideration what effect it will have on a person. You need to take a moment and look at the various time lines and see what effect you are going to have. True, some things just refuse to be censored. BUT, if your guides, angels or whatever’s seem to be hurting people more than helping them, it’s time for a little intervention with the spirit world and a quiet inventory of whether these helpful energies are just helping you get more money by causing chaos in people’s lives or actually helping people. Now, you can either be part of the solution or the problem. The Choice is totally yours.

New house rule: if it belongs to me it shouldn’t be in a cat’s mouth. On the other hand, why is Purrbah carrying my shoe around? It is not like we are talking about some dainty little size 5 high heel. We are talking a size 9.5 running shoe mule. I shall never understand cats if I live to be a hundred and two, make that three.
I think it may have finally stopped raining but I am not placing any bets on it. My sunflowers and four o’clocks came up. My ancho pepper has three little peppers on it and I have one tomato! That might make a vegetarian soup or a really nasty spell. My Euphorbia tirucalli 'Sticks on Fire' has grabbed the trellis though it is technically not a climbing plant. This week it is bright light yellow. While getting you the botanic name I discovered it is not the sweet little potted plant I thought. It grows to be 8 feet tall and 4 feet wide. I guess it will have to come out of the pot. The good news is it is perfect xeriscaping and I do not have a sprinkler system. Then again, the past three days I needed a drainage system.
I got my Collections Inc. outside catalogue and what a wonderful assortment of faeries and faery things for the garden. Now all I need is a wonderful assortment of money, you know: 50’s, 100’s….things like that.
One lesson in the Law of Attraction. I decided to advertise an open house for the Equinox by putting it up on our web page. That is intent. No one actually saw it on the web page, but yesterday was a super busy with lot’s of new customers. That is the result. Sometimes all you have to do is put the idea out there and they will come. I am so looking forward to this day off, but I will be working on Monday because I didn’t get everything done yesterday and UPS skipped out on me Friday evening. So I have to be there to get my package so you can get your oils and those pyramid candles. Those little devils are getting rave reviews for both money and legal help.
Bitwit was at her best yesterday. She purred, she greeted and she pounced me. Those little claws are getting clipped if I have to call Blackwater for backup. I may have to do that.
Last night I dropped a chicken leg that actually still had some meat on it. I was going to invoke the 5 second rule which in today’s economy according to Jay Leno has become the 5 minute rule, when Napoleon invoked the 5 millisecond cat rule. That rule states that if the cat reaches the food before you, it is lost. He won! Off he runs with the chicken leg and having chomped down too hard, his huge fangs are now stuck in the bone. So I dry my hands off and go to remove the chicken bone when Purrbah, his ever helpful little engineering self, grabs the bone and yanks it off Napoleon’s fangs for him. Cats are not altruistic. He then ran with the chicken leg and last I saw him, Purrbah was happily munching on chicken well out of the reach of human hands.
Went to Home Depot while they were having the 3 for a dollar plant sale. I should have arrived on Friday as there was very little left. I rescued 3 begonias and 9 impatients. All but a few are now part of the Faery garden. I ran out of steam. I also got some tomato plants and a few odd balls. The bird food is producing a crop of wild sunflowers which should be interesting. I always have trouble sprouting sunflowers but the birds have no problem. They will soon be everywhere. The bird seed that sprouted in my pots, once again via bird beak, I brought into the shop for the cats to munch on and so far they haven’t even smelled it! I discovered Ferry-Morse seeds is carrying the spreading petunia Tidal Wave so I bought a package. I will be poking seeds into existing pots for when they start going sparse. I got the silver color. I think I will try a pot on the big rocks out front since it says they will spread up to 4 feet wide! The Pine tree could use a little color since the hurricane took its top off. That is for another day as I am beat and the tomatoes are not repotted yet and there are a zillion weeds to remove before a pot goes up there…...

Life was really quiet last night until 6 this morning when there was a horrible crash that woke me up. I decided to ignore it, until the second one and then I blindly felt my way out of the room. It is awfully dark at 6 AM. I poked my head around the corner and nothing was laying on the floor. Then I heard what sounded like bowling balls hitting the roof. Well, that little voice that sometimes deems to save my lower posterior, said; don’t open the front door so I turned the lights on outside and peeked out the window. The rain was coming down in sheets! And thus it continued until around noon when it eased up enough to just fool me into a state of false confidence.
By the time I got to the shop, I think hail was hitting the roof of the Vanwitch. Thus, there I sat for 20 minutes and thankfully, the Vanwitch has really comfortable seats. I discovered the parrots land on my bird feeder and drop the other birds what they don’t like on the ground. There was a whole flock of doves, two blue jays and a grackle or two eating the leftovers. One thing I noted was no one aggressed the Parrot! They are really Monk Parakeets. They can’t talk and they are louder than a train whistle stuck in your ear. I guess because the feeder is glass and copper, they didn’t try to open it like the last one. They can use those beaks like a can opener if they decide to and you sure wouldn’t a finger in there! They split my other bird feeder right up the side.
However, that gave me an idea what may have happened to the grackle I took to the wild bird sanctuary yesterday. They will attack and injure other birds and his wing was broken in a very strange way. I know the cats didn’t do it as they would have just had him as a snack, not left him alive.
To quote a comic strip today: Spring has sprung a leak. The New Moon is on Thursday.
I did have a bit of time this morning convincing Purrbah that an electric toothbrush is not a power tool and he is not to remove it from my mouth for inspection. Nor do I need two little kitty paws directing it by hanging onto my arm.
I’ve been asked what I thought of the Special Olympics comment. Okay, I am a Druid, a psychic and a witch. Does anyone ever apologize to me or my ethnic/social group for comments like that? Heck no. Toughen up. You will be taken seriously about 10 years before I am and I‘m not whining. People conclude I don’t have a brain before they meet me. Do you think any of that information can ever go on an application for work? I belong to what most people consider a useless group in society. Never mind I have two degrees, graduated both times with honors and have a wall full of plaques for workshops in hypnosis, biofeedback, aromatherapy and psychology I have completed. I am still an uneducated flake in society’s eyes. Throw in the Native American blood and I become something less than human. Yup, we still can’t buy alcohol in some states. Well, we have our revenge. We spell revenge: casino. Giggle. Next time you trip or get a rash after insulting me, keep in mind the Fae like me.
Speaking of Fae. As I was trying to get a golf umbrellas through the arches at the shop, the asparagus vine reached out and grabbed me and wet my sleeve all the way to the shoulder. I heard little giggles from the tree and I know the Pixies got me.

A couple of nights ago, I dropped a bottle of seltzer and made a real mess in my bedroom. I had to wait for the comforter to dry to go to sleep. The lid was almost on. With seltzer that doesn’t count. It exploded all over the place. After cursing my clumsiness I simply didn’t know how I did it. Well, last night I discovered why I was so puzzled as I caught the next bottle seltzer as it flew off the nightstand. It seem Purrbah had sneaked behind me and was swatting the little bubbled as they flew up the seltzer and hence, off flies the bottle.
It is a wet rainy mess of an Equinox! Looks like I will be celebrating inside. Last night George saw a black plastic bag by the Redvan. He reached down and discovered it was warm and feathers. We had an injured huge black Grackle on the ground. As best we can gather, he flew into the red van and knocked himself silly and injured his wing. So today we had to drive almost to the Glades to drop him off at the wildlife center where fortunately the vet has a soft spot for Grackles and thought he was gorgeous. I know the cats didn’t get him because if they had, his name would have been menu item.
Anyway, that made me late to the shop and I missed UPS who had arrived before we are scheduled to open anyway. He said he would be back, so I wait. He has the money and justice candles I need. Such is the life of a small business.
Bitwit is running from end of the shop to the other at full speed. The rain seems to have her tail in a twist. George has been outside threatening the palm trees and they are dropping HUGE fronds all over the place and he has to carry them out to the street. Then I reminded him exactly who sprouted all those coconuts and grew them. HIM! Now, I am fondly looking up at all the coconuts and thinking: LUNCH!

It is still raining! The weatherman drew a little oval on the weather map of the area getting the most rain, 9 inches at that point, and I was right in the middle of it! And then it started raining again. This is what happens when some idiot paves a ley line and then intersects it with a canal. You get freaky weather. The storms form off the Bahamas tip where the temple steps are and flow right down the Hillsboro Canal to smack me at 441. Oh, it’s a lovely place with plenty of ambient energy, high land, vortexes that move and apparently spit out cats, swamp apes and strange reptiles, and a general feeling of total peace, until the weather goes weird. Welcome to weird weather weekend. Goddess I hope it stops raining long enough on the Equinox for me cast a proper circle and charge some eggs! All this energy should not go to waste.
My standing stones are nicely washed by the going on 10 inches of rain. Fortunately, we are sandy loam and the water pools and then sinks or we would be floating about now. Which brings me to another point. You are aware that when you do magical baths you are not supposed to use city water with all its additives??? Well, if you bring containers, I will turn on the water and you can have totally natural water from the shop well to create your bath. It is a little hard. Actually, I have been hit with softer rocks. But, it is 100% natural, or I can get you into the park down the street and you can bucket from the canal off the boat ramp, but it is the same water. My well is less than a 100 yards from the canal. You will need to take at least 7 gallons to make your mixture for a bath, so gather up your containers. I also have some Anna Riva Hyssop bath in, unhexing/protection herbs and money herbs. The latter have to be boiled to make a tea concentrate and poured into the bath. Sorry, we don’t have a bathtub but we have a shower. However, the really bad news is: no hot water. You have no idea how cold well water is! The easy way is to get seven buckets and divide the concentrate into them. Mix well and pour over your head. You always go from the head down and submerge the head. Now you know why we witch ladies always have such natural hair styles….One of these days when the money is flowing I have plans for a Jacuzzi and some bags of herbs for evening fun and profit.
Napoleon is my constant bed companion. I was having a bad morning with more aches and pains that you can count. Weirdly enough, that neon, rainbow circle returned last night. So I shifted my vision to see the energy in the room and from the storms, there was more ambient energy than a hundred faeries on fermented honey could produce. The whole room was sparkling. I had the whopper of a migraine and couldn’t stand for anything and anyone to even to touch me. It hurt big time! So it was no surprise I was feeling horrible this morning. Even Prescious left without a fight and tried to keep his voice down. That cat is just plain loud. They wondered how he could be stupid enough to say that. WAKE UP! He isn’t stupid, he is saying exactly what he means. He took you as a bunch of chumps for 8 years and he is laughing his ass off. He never was stupid. He and his friends raped the financial world, pocketed the money and are living high on the horse and laughing their asses off at you. The man has an IQ in low genius range. It is still raining! The weatherman drew a little oval on the weather map of the area getting the most rain, 9 inches at that point, and I was right in the middle of it! And then it started raining again. This is what happens when some idiot paves a ley line and then intersects it with a canal. You get freaky weather. The storms form off the Bahamas tip where the temple steps are and flow right down the Hillsboro Canal to smack me at 441. Oh, it’s a lovely place with plenty of ambient energy, high land, vortexes that move and apparently spit out cats, swamp apes and strange reptiles, and a general feeling of total peace, until the weather goes weird. Welcome to weird weather weekend. Goddess I hope it stops raining long enough on the Equinox for me cast a proper circle and charge some eggs! All this energy should not go to waste.
My standing stones are nicely washed by the going on 10 inches of rain. Fortunately, we are sandy loam and the water pools and then sinks or we would be floating about now. Which brings me to another point. You are aware that when you do magical baths you are not supposed to use city water with all its additives??? Well, if you bring containers, I will turn on the water and you can have totally natural water from the shop well to create your bath. It is a little hard. Actually, I have been hit with softer rocks. But, it is 100% natural, or I can get you into the park down the street and you can bucket from the canal off the boat ramp, but it is the same water. My well is less than a 100 yards from the canal. You will need to take at least 7 gallons to make your mixture for a bath, so gather up your containers. I also have some Anna Riva Hyssop bath in, unhexing/protection herbs and money herbs. The latter have to be boiled to make a tea concentrate and poured into the bath. Sorry, we don’t have a bathtub but we have a shower. However, the really bad news is: no hot water. You have no idea how cold well water is! The easy way is to get seven buckets and divide the concentrate into them. Mix well and pour over your head. You always go from the head down and submerge the head. Now you know why we witch ladies always have such natural hair styles….One of these days when the money is flowing I have plans for a Jacuzzi and some bags of herbs for evening fun and profit.

We just went from drought to Urban Flood advisory in one swift movement. So far today we have had over 7 inches of rain. It was 7 at noon and it had been raining ever since. I made it to the shop, dripping wet. It is still raining constantly. The cats outside are wet and complaining at the top of their lungs. It is the 6 inches between the stairs and the alcove that gets them wet. My umbrella proved to be not worth very much as the rain was coming down sideways.
I was listening to our president at noon and I thought - where are they going to find a jury of 12 people to give them any money? I think they can find a jury of 12 to hang them. Then I remembered, in a case like that you can opt for a judge without a jury trial. Before the American people wised up and showed a little backbone and kicked these thieves out of office, Bush packed the courts with his appointees. So you would have Bush appointees presiding over trials featuring Bush appointees verses the new government: not exactly a recipe for success on our side, me thinks. We could well wind up owing these jackasses even more money than they are already stealing. Hey, I didn’t say incompetent bufaceses because incompetent they are not. They have succeeded in legally raping the American Taxpayer and thumbing their noses at us, probably from their condos in Dubai since most of them no longer work for AIG. Notice how not a single one has offered to return or refuse their share of the 165 million dollar bonuses. That says something people should be listening to. Notice how our previous fearless leader, old Newt and the rest of the gang are keeping quiet and not demanding the money back? I hope you remember this in 2012. If I am around, I will.
After last night’s bounce all over the house and shop due to the coming rain, the cats have settled in to sleep off the rain. The birds are out trying to get dinner. The lizards are in all in their holes because the temperature has dropped into the lower the 70’s. I have a migraine because the barometric pressure is bouncing all over the place. I even had a new symptom this morning. I always get the neon rainbow cat’s whiskers. That’s exactly what they look like. It was so bad this morning that I got a neon rainbow circle! Then Prescious began to voice his opinion and I felt like a prize fighter was jabbing me in the head. Sound is no friend to a migraine sufferer and he is one loud cat. When he gave me a dose of fish breath, he had to go. Upchucking is not a good thing with a migraine. Now, the Kitwits were loving, quiet and perfectly behaved. He who I need a forklift to get out of the room, made me carry him to the door. Even Bitwit is well behaved. She gave me the silent meow for her can rather than the frenzied scream I usually get. I don’t know how they know, but they know I have a migraine.

Ever have one of those days when you might as well be in bed. I am having one. I just noticed that it always seems to happen when there is a weather change. A front is moving through, it is cloudy and rain is on the horizon. I just want to curl up and take a really long nap.
I am always getting these emails about the secret of a long life. There are really only two proven ways to have a long life. One is to encounter a voice mail system and the other is to be hold. You don’t dare die or you will lose your place in line.
Bitwit has spent most of the day trying to kill a wind chime. She has finally collapsed in exhaustion. The wind chime will live another day to torment her. She has decided to leave the showroom because she just can’t take it dangling over the cat tree, tempting her.
Cats are like children. Ra and Isis must have 30 catnip mice between them. Bitwit has a huge ball, 2 fur rats, a stuffed cat, feathers, fishing pole toys and assorted small balls. But when I noticed a lump in the bathroom rug and picked it up to find her stash, it consisted of bottle caps. Buy a kid and expensive drum set and they will beat on your pots and pans…
Now for the - that just plain stinks - file. I heard on the news last night that in addition to jacking our interest rates into the stratosphere on credit cards, Chase plans to charge people 10.00 a month, in addition to all other fees, to have their credit card. That’s 120.00 a year in addition to any other fees for the privilege of paying them 32% interest. Maybe you can get a loan from the Mafia to pay off your credit card. I’ve heard their rates are cheaper….Okay, now what really ticks me off is the people I am paying for who defaulted on their credit cards are the very people who have vandalized my shop, broke my car windows, caused me to lose one job and generally made my life miserable by stalking me. Quote: “Well they shouldn’t have given me a credit card in the first place. Everyone knows I couldn’t pay.” and: “So sue me. What are you going get? I got nothing.” Now I am paying their bills in addition to all the damage they did to me. And by the way, most of the damage was fixed unfortunately using a credit card because I didn’t have the cash for the 500.00 a pop bills. I have nothing against people who lost their jobs, tried their best but can’t meet their obligations. I just know too many who went in with the idea of defaulting and the bank loan officers should have taken one look at their credit reports and known that. Those officers are enjoying their million dollar bonuses while bankrupting me and the rest of us who have worked our little rears off to pay their bills often even through foreclosure. Yup, honest pays, just not the honest.

Bitwit has spent most of the day trying to kill a wind chime. She has finally collapsed in exhaustion. The wind chime will live another day to torment her. She has decided to leave the showroom because she just can’t take it dangling over the cat tree, tempting her.
Cats are like children. Ra and Isis must have 30 catnip mice between them. Bitwit has a huge ball, 2 fur rats, a stuffed cat, feathers, fishing pole toys and assorted small balls. But when I noticed a lump in the bathroom rug and picked it up to find her stash, it consisted of bottle caps. Buy a kid and expensive drum set and they will beat on your pots and pans…
Now for the - that just plain stinks - file. I heard on the news last night that in addition to jacking our interest rates into the stratosphere on credit cards, Chase plans to charge people 10.00 a month, in addition to all other fees, to have their credit card. That’s 120.00 a year in addition to any other fees for the privilege of paying them 32% interest. Maybe you can get a loan from the Mafia to pay off your credit card. I’ve heard their rates are cheaper….Okay, now what really ticks me off is the people I am paying for who defaulted on their credit cards are the very people who have vandalized my shop, broke my car windows, caused me to lose one job and generally made my life miserable by stalking me. Quote: “Well they shouldn’t have given me a credit card in the first place. Everyone knows I couldn’t pay.” and: “So sue me. What are you going get? I got nothing.” Now I am paying their bills in addition to all the damage they did to me. And by the way, most of the damage was fixed unfortunately using a credit card because I didn’t have the cash for the 500.00 a pop bills. I have nothing against people who lost their jobs, tried their best but can’t meet their obligations. I just know too many who went in with the idea of defaulting and the bank loan officers should have taken one look at their credit reports and known that. Those officers are enjoying their million dollar bonuses while bankrupting me and the rest of us who have worked our little rears off to pay their bills often even through foreclosure. Yup, honest pays, just not the honest.

By now everyone in the Universe has heard about the AIG bonuses. Folks, in the deep South, he just needed killin’, used to be a legal defense. These guys just need a good bashing up side the head. Who gets a bonus for running a company into the ground? If your work is not up to par, you are on the unemployment line not collecting a bonus. I want my tax money back! They have a legal contract. Well, I think the words - so sue me - should come into play. Exactly what are they going to collect: a lien on a bankrupt company? I have to agree with the article on Deepak Chopra this weekend where he said greed has simply gotten out of hand. I can’t imagine a billion dollars much let alone spending it. What do you buy? At the most I think I could spend a million and a half before I ran out “things” I might like to have. Just think about it. What do you do with that much money? Does anyone need a house with more bedrooms than a boarding school, a couple of pools, and acres of grass? My mind is boggled.
It is a day of disappointments for me. A very nice person wrote in for some help on a group I am a member of on Yahoo. Well, he didn’t get any. It seems that in the Hoodoo community, if your problem doesn’t fit the buy my number 5 candle and burn it, there is no interest in even talking to you. I know we all have to make a living. I really hope someday you will buy a reading or something from my web pages, but that isn’t the entire focus of my life. I will write him later tonight and see if I can offer some encouragement because I have been where he is. Any real psychic or practitioner that says they haven’t been there is either lying or not the real thing. Once again, greed rears its lovely head. It only has one temperature but what am I really drying - T-shirts and jeans and linens. Anything else I would be laying flat to dry anyway. I don’t need so many features and buttons I need an engineering degree to turn the thing on! Just for the record, I can back the Vanwitch. Screaming and jumping up on the loading dock flailing your arms frantically is not an accepted directional signal. I have backed airplanes. I can back a van. I know the signals. Calm down!

3 Quick Predictions for three people
I don’t normally have prophetic dreams about people I do not know. This morning I had three in rapid succession. You have heard the statement: 6 degrees of separation. Someone reading this blog is connected to these people, so pay attention. If it seems to resonate with someone you know, give them the information. Otherwise, just consider it entertainment but I would feel awful if something happened to someone because I didn't pass the information on so you get to read it.
1. A woman who works from home has a Bouvier Des Flandres dog. I could actually pronounce that in the dream. She may think someone has broken into her home but she has no proof. Listen carefully. She stores credit card information from her customers on her home computer. Get it off there. Erase it and transfer it to a zip drive. Do something. They are after that information, any money she has laying around and they will seriously injure her dog. They are watching her and they know her schedule. They may even know her and her dog well enough to get buy it: Take your dog with you if you have leave in the day time! Be careful! She may not be able to prevent the break in but the damage can be minimized.
2. A second woman is aware of a crime problem in her neighborhood. She intends to open the door holding a hand gun for protection. The man at the door will be about 5’8” to 6 foot tall, neatly dressed, Short sleeved shirt, light hair, around 35+ white guy. He is going to say something like you wouldn’t shoot me. He is the criminal. Either don’t open the door or shoot when he starts moving toward you. The best policy is do not open your door no matter how nice or benign the man looks on the other side. Never have a gun unless you intend to use it and know how. It will be used against you.
3. Darryl is the man’s name. You are at work on Monday or Tuesday. All I could see is you answer the phone, are talking for a moment, start to choke or something and fall to the floor or ground and no one can see you. You can’t call out. So, when you answer the phone, tell the person where you are immediately and try to stay near people at work. Once again, I only have the first name and the fact that this person is healthy and they have no reason to suspect they will have a health problem. So all the hundreds of Darryl’s out there: be careful on Monday or Tuesday. It can’t hurt.

I think my exact words are: Oh Dear Goddess! We spent the afternoon and the evening at the Cosmic Salamander sorting boxes of books for inventory and looking for a sold book. You know how they always tell you to lift with your legs and not your back. I think every muscle in my legs is sprained. I barely managed to pull myself up into Vanwitch and that is quiet a ways up! I feel like I’ve been riding a too wide horse all day. Even my hips hurt! However, my back is fine.
Bitwit was in fine form. She inspected every box and every book. I think they passed. She played and bounced and got whacked for scratching me. Isis slept soundly in the chair and Ra hid as her personal room was devastated by boxes being moved. The boys decided to stay upstairs where they were safe. Now the books are neatly sorted into fiction and nonfiction and the process of labeling each box and its contents can begin. This isn’t the first time. However, when Hurricane Wilma killed my computer, I lost all the records. This time, they will be backed up! They will be hard copied! I will not have another loss of a month or two’s worth of work.
In the process, I finally found the case of swift light charcoal and nutmeg incense. I put out a bunch of new ritually charged candles. More stock is waiting to be put out. I also found the Spring Flags so the winter ones can come down. I am soooooo ready for Spring!
Purdy von Sweets has gained weight. She is no longer the skinny little coffee swilling Kitwit. She just fooled me into letting her in the bedroom impersonating the Catwit: Indikins. She is getting round. To get where Josephina is, she is going to have a stuff herself. Well, I have Purrbah, Josephina and Purdy von Sweets in the room and things are falling. I just threw Napoleon out but I must attend to the damage.

When you find your cat hanging off the picture on your wall, what do you do? I scream at Napoleon. Why on earth he is hanging off the picture, I have no idea. I know it is a picture of two flying cranes. Scientists tell me a cat cannot see a two dimensional picture. Could they be wrong? I just know my picture is now crooked which drives me a little batty. Napoleon is not eating cranes for a midnight snack. He did manage to grab a tag off a garment. So there he is with the garment tag in his mouth, fangs protruding, and eyes slit and glowing. Napoleon has a very, very scary face at those times. It is almost as good as Josephina’s Demon face when she gets a piece of meat.
I don’t know what is getting into all the cats but they have been bouncing off the walls (literally) all day. Even Ra has been bouncing around.
I decided to take a break and relax out in the shop garden with a nice cup or coffee and a Danish. Ever try to eat a Danish with a whole flock of beady little crow eyes staring at you? Well, birds have some human traits. I threw down some Danish. My first customer was a huge Blue Jay who grabbed a nice beak full and took off for the Cat's Claw Tree. Now for those of you unfamiliar with this tropical delight, every inch of it is covered in thorns. The Blue Jay impaled the piece of Danish on a thorn so he wouldn't lose it while picking it apart. Later George brought some peanuts home and in swoops the Blue Jay and makes off with a peanut. You can't keep those Jays away from food.
I had run out of bird food so we went over to BJ's to get another bag. When the man went to lift it up to scan it, the whole side seam just let loose and there was bird food all over the place. While our friend was sweeping it up and they were getting me another bag, he told us about a bag of dog food that had split open in the parking lot. He said it looked like a scene out of the birds. So, don't drop a bag of dog food in a parking lot if you know what is good for you.
In garden news, my white amaryllis is blooming at home. I have a tomato on the tomato plant and two tiny ancho peppers. I have no idea what they taste like. I have always used them for spells. With any luck, I will find out. I am gradually seeding pots and waiting to see if anything comes up.

When you find your cat hanging off the picture on your wall, what do you do? I scream at Napoleon. Why on earth he is hanging off the picture, I have no idea. I know it is a picture of two flying cranes. Scientists tell me a cat cannot see a two dimensional picture. Could they be wrong? I just know my picture is now crooked which drives me a little batty. Napoleon is not eating cranes for a midnight snack. He did manage to grab a tag off a garment. So there he is with the garment tag in his mouth, fangs protruding, and eyes slit and glowing. Napoleon has a very, very scary face at those times. It is almost as good as Josephina’s Demon face when she gets a piece of meat.
I don’t know what is getting into all the cats but they have been bouncing off the walls (literally) all day. Even Ra has been bouncing around.
I decided to take a break and relax out in the shop garden with a nice cup or coffee and a Danish. Ever try to eat a Danish with a whole flock of beady little crow eyes staring at you?
