With the Bitwit screaming in the floor and doing the “follow me boy” dance, how can my thoughts not turn to relationships and love. Spring is on its way. I think it got lost in Alaska or maybe the crazy huntress shot it, but it will get here. We are in a first quarter Taurus Moon moving into Gemini so we can stop and plan our garden: the one in the backyard and the relationship one.
This is also the time when people crawl out of their Snuggies and start asking for love spells. Most of you know I won’t do a spell to target a specific person but I will do one to attract love to you. First, you have to do a little work. Like with any spell, you have to know what you want.
Many years ago I learned an interesting technique in psych class where you divide a piece of paper in half. On one side you put down the qualities you want in a mate and on the other side you put down the qualities you just can’t stand - non-negotiable. Then you put the list away for a week. Then you take the list out and you play a role. Someone else you do not know has given you this list and you are reading it for the first time. What kind of person is this from the list of wants and don’t wants? Is this person open to love or are they making unrealistic demands to avoid a relationship? Give it a try and see! You may be amazed at who you really are. Now, make a list of the qualities that keep a relationship working and see how that compares to your must have list. That will tell you whether you are about to attract a doomed relationship and even what you are doing wrong.
