Forecast and Faery Finder by Janice Scott-Reeder and the Bitwit

According to Llewellyn’s Spell-a-Day Almanac, today’s color is Yellow and the incense is Lilac.

Today is one of my favorite Hindi festivals: The Festival of Colors - Holi. It is a day of just plain fun and people throw colored water and powders on each other. So get out the finger paints and paint something today in honor of the coming of spring!

FORECASTS:

Deck: Navigators Tarot of the Mystic Sea.
Today’s Tarot Card is the Page of Pentacles: reservation. Reasonable limits, balanced behaviors and subdued expression is the theme of this card. This page is the solid, everyman. By no longer seeking the thrill, the over indulgence, the prettiest thing, you free yourself for more important things like searching for knowledge, reason and enlightenment.

Astrological Source: Llewellyn’s 2007 Daily Planetary Guide.
Astrologically, the Moon enters Libra at 2:46 PM EDT. We are preoccupied with appearances and not looking a substance. That causes things to really swing out of balance and then we try artificial means to bring them back. It doesn’t work and the pendulum swings more wildly until we learn to relax and let it be. For the next couple of days the normally sedate little Venus is aggressive and she is getting her way. Love is in the air and if you don’t like it, she will club you over the head. Even Cupid is hiding! Get your thoughts back on the ground and use this new energy to make money and communicate rather than conjuring up one day dream after another. The morning is fuzzy with undirected energy and that is the recipe for an accident. Pay attention! By evening all you projects have been shot down. Did you really need the 50.00 pink option on your laptop. People are just trying to save you from yourself so listen!

Deck: Healing with the Fairies.
The Faeries say environmental awareness can go by the wayside as we try to turn nature into a well managed little thing. She isn’t so stop trying. She will whack you.

Today’s Cat Comfort card is Catalog. “Treat yourself to some retail therapy.”

Deck: The Fairies’ Oracle by Brian Froud & Jessica MacBeth
Today’s Faery Finder is on the lookout for Himself. He is natural law, Life Force and Magic. He is the one Fae that can dance with this Venus and balance her energy. He is the master of all Shamans. Whatever and whoever he touches just becomes, well, more. We see in our rituals when the representatives of the gods and goddess suddenly shimmer a bit and the magical energy flows through them. Today is your turn if you are brace enough to crawl outside and dance with Himself.

Today’s Lo Shu Number is 4 and the element is wood. The Rooster is finding conflict today but the Horse is having a great day.

Today’s Message from the Universe is: “I let go of my personal worries. My outlook on life expands and I dedicate all my energy to give and to serve. There lies the true source of my happiness.” Annie Marquier creating a world of peace one thought at a time.
These messages are helping so many people that I am setting each day’s card up in a psionics generator so you can tap into the energy during the day. Just think of a rainbow and the energy will come to you.

COMMENTARIES BY JANICE SCOTT-REEDER

I want my hour back! Honestly, I’ve flown to California and back and not been this out of tune. I am totally out of it. I don’t know what time it is. I cooked dinner at 9 PM. I ate around 10 and I can’t seem to sleep. I keep muttering: It’s just one hour. It isn’t helping. I think something of a cosmic magnitude occurred at the same time as the switch in time and it has really knocked most of my psychic friends for a loop, mentally, emotionally and physically. Fortunately, we know how to bring ourselves back into balance: basic diet, meditation, health checks and rest and we also know we are out of balance. Now, was this a coincidence? I do not believe in coincidences. The Universe may have been saying to stop trying to manipulate nature artificially. Keep it real. What do you think?
Thus all I managed to get done today on the Faery Garden was a plant transplanted and some new flowers potted. A little gnome was spotted crawling into a log. Perhaps you will see him when you visit the Cosmic Salamander. He really likes that holes the woodpecker put in the logs! The altar area is almost cleared and now the area behind that has to cleared and bagged so I can put my garden in. I am going to try a circular tiered garden growing the three sisters: corn, squash and beans. I ordered a special corn from Park Seed that is supposed to bear the ears higher than a raccoon can reach. Remember, we have the raccoon that lives in the palm tree and eats all the coconuts? Yes, he is nuts, no pun intended. I really don’t want him eating my corn, or squash or beans for that matter. I am looking forward to organic produce. Now, what the iguanas are going to do remains to be seen but don’t be surprised if I wind up putting an electric fence around.
I bought the new LitterMaid Elite several months back as it was on sale and the cats really do succeed in breaking them. I was attracted to the sleek design and the all metal rake. Now, here is the really bad part. Some of us lift the litter containers out and empty them rather buying box after box of ecologically unfriendly little plastic trays. They are also wallet unfriendly. Well, to make this one work, the little plastic receptacles have to be tediously inserted into slots under the edge to pin the trays in place so the rack can come to the edge of the receptacle and dump the kitty offerings into it. It ain’t easy to do! Not only that but I seeing plastic gloves in the offering shortly after the first one is removed and before the second one is inserted. Of course, you aren’t going to be able to get it under the tabs wearing gloves so I am predicting this thing is going through the window. Don’t buy one! I repeat: Do Not Buy One. I have spent all day empting the thing. It flat does not work worth a ticker’s dam. Get an earlier model. They work.
In book news, the Magician’s Apprentice by Trudi Cantavan is a really good alternative Universe read where cultures clash and bad things happen to good people causing them to triumph over the status quo as a young girl sets out to become a physician, a profession in which women are just not competent, and winds us a magician due to natural ability. However, she never abandons her dream of healing as through war and adversity she learns to integrate both arts.
Patricia Briggs new Mercy Thompson: Iron Kissed, leads us from the world of werewolves into the world of the Fae with some wonderful twists and turns. Seeing too much can be a liability where the Fae are concerned and will Mercy survive seeing through a bit too much glamour?

I wish I could plant the "three sisters" as well but I live in the pacific northwest and it is a bit too wet to have a good crop. Corn can grow..but lately it's just been too wet a growing season up here. If planting a faery garden remember to have one area of said garden to be as wild as it wants to honour the God/dess and their plan. Blessings Ravynwolfe
