It's June! Does anyone know where May went or April for that matter. I am sure I lost March...
Last night was a bad one and my RLS refused to abate even with medication. So, I decided to check out Facebook and lo and behold, most of my friends were up with various complaints and couldn't sleep either.
I did get a bit of planting done today. I got my Coconut Palm tree garden area somewhat done with the flowers and the blackberry bush planted. Now I need more flowers and about 20 more bags of mulch. It always looks like you have so much mulch when you load it in the van and then when you start spreading it, you never have enough.
Well, I guess some of you saw the Palin show yesterday. I know more than one Vet was really upset at the publicity whore. All I can say is when people talk about "their" sacrifice for their country I am reminded that most, and all of the names on that wall that I personally know, belonged to scared 18 and 19 year old boys that didn't have enough money to dodge the draft by buying a college education. They had no choice in the matter. They were involuntarily conscripted into a war they didn't believe in and to a place they sure as Hades didn't want to be. I will personally kick her arse in stilettos given the opportunity just over that one incident yesterday.

Oh brother, we have a partial Solar Eclipse today in Gemini with the New Moon at 5:03 PM EDT in 11Gemini02. Before you can begin anew this lunar cycle, you will have to confront the dark side of yourself that prevents your success. This can come in the way of actually meeting someone who exemplifies everything you do not want to be and is attracted to you like a moth to the flame and you are the fly paper. Until you make some fundamental changes, you will not get rid of this aspect because we get 3 instead of the usual 2 eclipses which mean this isn't ending any time soon.....
A major aspect lasting a week finally shows you the way around your limitations through undiscovered talents. In other words, if you want it decorated, you are going to have to do it yourself.
Overnight aspects make it hard to sleep, again! Those who teach get a rude awakening when they discover nothing has really changed in their world. Be patient. By evening you will find a way around authorities and elders. But just remember, pretty promises are just so much hot air. And then the New Moon happens. It's major effect will be mental and those with dementia and Alzheimer's will have a rough time of it.
Don't worry about everything that hits you at supersonic speed today. You will have plenty of time tomorrow to sort it out.

Your Holiday Weekend, May 28/29/30, Forecast.
It's the big holiday or is it sale weekend. I will be working here at the Salamander so I won't be seeing that much of an effect in the natural order of my life.
Today I was thinking about a few things I have learned in my life. All my life I have been taught that recognizing actions have consequences is the mark of maturity. Being a Druid and a Wiccan, the primary tenent of our religion is "An it harm none, do as you will." Once again consequences. Thus I find it amazing when people who should by virtue of their age or position be aware of consequences seem to be totally clueless.
I did a little research on the poll you click to declare "Obamacare" unconstitutional. Just looking at the Facebook pictures I could say that without Obamacare 80% of the people clicking that link will not have insurance due to preexisting conditions. How, you ask? Well, 80% of them are overweight and most of them have grey hair. Having found precancerous polyps in Dr. Oz's televised colonscophy, he now has a preexisting condition and could not get a standard policy. What choices are left? Pay thousands of dollars a month with a 5,000.00 deductible or be uninsured. Then, all those worried tax payers get to foot the bill for your care.
But there are consequences beyond that. I remember back when I worked for one of the major newspapers one of the women in the accounting department came down with cancer and after a complete radical mastectomy was back at work in one week because she was scared to death she would be fired preObamacare. She could not lift her right arm and was trying to hide it. She also knew that not only was she unemployable having the dreaded C on her blouse but she was uninsurable and she was dropped from the company policy as soon as she finished chemo. Another gentleman had varicose veins and his wife was diagnosed with borderline high blood pressure. The little printing company he worked for changed insurance companies with the total assurance all their employees would be covered. Both he and his wife were dropped and could not get insurance anywhere. Not being able to afford treatment and medications, he lost the job, their house and finally moved up north to live with relatives.
You see, this goes way further than any "constitutional" issue or free enterprise, this affects at least 50% of the population of this country. You can add more when you consider half the high school students will be uninsured the last half of their senior year when they turn 18 and are dropped off their parents policies without the dreaded "Obamacare". The question is not whether we can afford to spend the money, which will actually be less than what we pay for those expensive emergency room visits, but whether we can afford not to spend the money.
What do we do when over 70% of the population (real conservative projection) within 15 years has diabetes and is hence uninsured. Do we just let them, men, women and children and yes little babies, die? What do we do in 20 years when 60% of the population is in some stage of Alzheimer's (yes, that is also a real projection? Do we just round them up and put a fence around them and let them starve to death?
Are you worried about mortgaging your childrens' future. People it is YOUR CHILDREN who will have diabetes. It is your children who will be exhibiting Alzheimer's at 35.
The very companies that made trillions of bucks off this "food" that is causing the problem are the same companies fighting Obamacare. Do you remember how much responsibility the tobacco companies took for producing a dangerous and addictive product? Let me tell. YOU, the taxpayer, PAID MY MOTHER AND FATHER's HOSPITAL BILLS FOR LUNG CANCER AND THROAT CANCER. Kool and Phillip Morse didn't contribute one penny to their care but they made a fortune off their addiction to the tune of 3 packs a day. You might want to think less about the "Constitution" and little bit more about how much those companies that created the problem are contributing to the politicians to kill insurance reform.
Do you remember Dupont and better living through chemistry? Do you remember doctors prescribing cigarettes for "nerves"? Do you remember the chubby little Gerber Baby that every mother was told to emulate by stuffing her baby with sugar laden corn syrup flavored vegetables? How about the Beef People that have you taking those expensive drugs for cholesterol now? Consequences, people, and we are going to pay the biggest price: our lives, health and quality of life. They get to retire with expensive medical care and billion dollar bonuses. Do you?
Saturday, only has a major aspect that brings irritation with elders, governments and authorities for refusing to change or see change is needed. It will last about a week so business as usual. You should be able to get a lot done on Saturday with nothing to really impede your progress.
Sunday, the Moon goes Void of Course at 6:28 AM EDT to 9:02 AM EDT so if you sleep in, you won't even notice it! The odds are, all the energy in the Universe is going to wake you up or expanding gas. So watch what you eat on Saturday night. The price comes due on Sunday morning.
The Moon enters Taurus at 9:02 AM EDT and money and property matters become more conservative. Neither a borrower not a lender be is Taurus' motto. A hunch about money or property pays off in the morning and by evening those who teach get good news. Solid changes are in the works by late night.
Monday is Memorial Day. Try not to get too stressed out about a social event today. Everything doesn't have to be PERFECT. You can wind up having a nervous breakdown in the morning trying to make that happen and then after lunch, energy picks up and you get everything done, the nightly event goes off without a single a hitch and you ate all those Rolaids for nothing. So, just relax today. You deserve it.
Remember our Veterans. They fought hard and paid the price for the freedoms we no longer enjoy because you and I gave them up in name of security. BUT they did their best. Thank them today.

Your Forecast for Friday, 05/27/11
We may open a bit late today as we have to go buy paint because of the IDIOT that turned us into Building and Zoning. May he get foot root. I mean seriously, there is not a day that George is not outside working his lower posterior off trying to get the shop into shape after a frustrating morning of job hunting. There are weeds out there with company names on them....Then he settles in for the night of internet hunting. So far, not even an interview has materialized and then a survey shows that most companies don't even consider the resumes of people who are out of work. Just F'n great. I hope the idiot that caused us all these problems soon has plenty of his own to keep him busy.
Today's Tarot Card is the Moon. It will be a very emotional day with little logic in the works.
An early morning surprise has you up and running. Be careful, electricity and fire mix with this aspect. By the time you get to work, you will really be a the top of your game with new ideas. However, by lunch, authorities and elders have refused to make changes. You'll figure out by evening that very little is going to change and an upset stomach is on the menu. Just relax, do your job and let Rome burn.
My heart goes out to those who have suffered from the weather this week and lost not only everything they own but often their loved ones. It is disheartening to hear FEMA is going to run out of money and the Tea Party Republicans in Congress have literally demanded that to fund the clean up and help to these people, other SOCIAL PROGRAMS must be cut. This is nothing more than another attack on Medicare and Social Security from the back door. I am so sick of my country I am really ready to move to Canada. With Global Warming, I may be able to take the climate shortly. When a government can fund multiple wars and the spends more on their military than the rest of the world combined and cannot take care of its own people, it should fall.

As promised...what I saw over 20 years ago.
As depressing as it is, I will tell you what I saw over 20 years ago when pressed to make weather predictions on the old Alan Burke show.
The first thing I saw was a hurricane. It's eye was in the center of the state and the edges extended all the way to both coasts, to North Florida and down to the Palm Beach County. I called it an inland hurricane. Well, that very picture came to pass and we call them super hurricanes now. Previously and at that time, no hurricane had survived coming inland more than 50 miles before dying and none ever emerged from the other side. That all changed.
The next thing I saw were super storms, covering more than one state that were spawning huge numbers of tornadoes. Need I say more.
The next thing I didn't understand at the time, was a HUGE tornado with gears turning inside of it grinding everything in its path to splinters. I didn't realise the gears were my mind interpreting multiple tornadoes within one huge one as that was IMPOSSIBLE, at least until this week.
All three things have come true.
The next things I saw were revealed in a series of visions with a guide.
At first I thought I was seeing a series of bridges going to small islands and also to nowhere. I now know I was seeing the expressways surrounded by ocean because the sea had risen.
The ocean was a funny almost fluorescent green color and there were no waves. Workers in uniforms were trying to extend parts of the "bridge" to reach isolated islands of houses. There were no boats because nothing floated on the "ocean". I asked how the houses became isolated and the answer was that sometimes the ocean came in and didn't go out again. There was no answer as to why there were no boats.
One of the workers fell into the "ocean" and was screaming for help. No one was moving and I started to reach for the man. My "guide" held me back and said it was more merciful to let him drown. The ocean was totally toxic, nothing lived in it and nothing survived touching it.
There were no waves and no there was no wind. It was hot as Hades, well over 95 at all times and I was assured this was the "cool" time of the day. There was no rain. As I was moved back overland it became apparent that only a few huge trees that had tapped into what was left of the aquifer had survived and some weeds. Most of the people lived in hovels on stilts just in case the ocean came in at night.
The rich lived in large homes on the artificial hills that were created walled in with levees. The homes seem to have lawns until I got closer and saw it was astroturf. That was when I saw all the hedges, small trees and flowers were silk. The house I was looking at had an empty swimming pool that the teenage daughter dived into and I thought she was dead for sure. However, the "swimming" was using huge blowers that kept her off the ground and provided a current to "swim" against. As I went into the house, it was totally open air, no doors or windows. Inside on the north side, there were "sleeping tubes" that were "air conditioned" so they could rest comfortably at night and during the day. There were no animals, dogs, cats, birds or even insects. There was nothing to eat.
As we left and went into the culvert where the silt houses were, I noticed everyone seemed to wearing a shirt of a specific design and color and grouping together by that designation. It is only now I realise those were guild shirts and you could only work if you belonged to a guild. The people in the house "owned" two guilds and it was their shanties that were allowed to be built in the culvert below the levee that protected the house, out of sight.
There was a little girl who had pulled herself to the edge of the stilt house porch to watch for her parents coming home. Her grandmother was taking care of her. My guide was surprised she was allowed to live as he assured me that only the able bodied were allowed to live and work. Usually "damaged" children accidentally fell into the ocean when it came in at night.
I asked if this future could be stopped and the answer was: "Probably not. You are too far along the path." That was before anyone said global warming existed.

I have spent the day organizing and sorting beads. Harbor Freight really does have the best plastic containers for bead sorting though they think they are for nuts and bolts.

What a day. We picked up a spirit infestation from a customer and have been exorcising and warding the place. I watered all the plants and was drained by the mosquitoes. Tomorrow we get the solar mosquito zappers for the Faery and Dryyad Garden and the healing garden.
New stones are put out. Ever see Caramel Jasper. It is a lovely caramel color. I have some Malachite, Turquoise, and some Orthoceras from Morocco. They are fossil stones and only polished on one side so you can get the full effect when wire wrapped against your skin..
Aside from that, I feel like I have been run over by a truck.

We have two major aspects lasting about a 7 days each. Ideas come fast and you have to note them or they are gone just as fast. Jealousy, greed and stubbornness hit the old wall of limitations and general irritation because you can't get things the way you want them occurs.
Today, energy is high in the very early morning hours but so is frustration at not being able to get things the way you want them. This going to be a bad hair and mismatched sock day. Then to put the cherry on that, I look like ....., in comes a social invitation that requires you be there an hour ago. Hey, you might want to not answer the phone. In the afternoon people are talking just to hear themselves talk and the Moon goes void of Course at 2:15 PM EDT further confusing things. She will remain void of course until tomorrow night.

I sometimes wonder if the phrase "Day Off" actually applies to the small business owner at any time. I found myself in BJ's buying a mosquito zapper for the shop as we are being eaten alive. We are just too darned close to the Glades. Then I needed to make a trip to the bank to make the deposits and of course, I have been hard at work in the shop and George around the shop all day. So much for a "Day Off". Tomorrow we open for business and it is back to work. Hum, seems like I never left.....
Oh well, cleaning septic tanks beats being in MO by a long shot. Our hopes and wishes for a speedy recovery go out to those poor people. There really aren't words to express the sympathy we feel. Please Mother Earth, calm down for a while or at least drop the tornado on the people who really caused all this and leave the innocents alone.
I often ask my gods questions, sometimes they answer and sometimes I actually understand the answer. After veiwing the devastation last night and discovering our govenor's hurricane disaster plan includes having an entire roof in storage for his house, so his employees, the people of Florida, can rush right over and put it on for him, I found myself asking why the people who cause so much pain and destruction for the rest of us seem to go unscathed. I got an answer and I didn't like it one bit but I will repeat it because I think it answers that question for a lot of us. "The very energy that allows them to rise to the top and gain power over others is what protects them."
Now I will write the forecast and try to forget those omnious words.
Today's Tarot Card is Justice. Legal matters are the highlight of the day. Decisions are made. They will not be reversed.

Many years ago, in a group someone accused me of being a.....now I want you to swallow all liquids at this point because I do not want to be blamed with shorting out anyone's keyboard when they spray....a fluffy bunny pagan. Yes, you read that right. A friend of mine sent me a picture of their interpretation of the type of bunny I am, and I wish I hadn't lost it in the computer changes, but let's just say, you wouldn't want to meet that bunny in a well lit alley.
No one has ever accused me of that since. It is true I am slow to action. I hate to do curses. I really prefer money spells over all other magick. However, if you think I am a pacifist, you are sadly mistaken. BUT, I tend to be a happy person with a positive attitude. I really do hope for the best but I am a realist and I know bad things happen even to the most positive of people. I never sugar coat my readings. True, some people never return but to the good church lady who I told was being conned...the con was on 60 minutes the next month. What can I say? I'm good.
Anyway, I have known some rediculously positive people in my life particularly in my early days. Now-a-days they keep their distance lest they be "contaminated". I remember one man who left his wife and mother of his 4 kids because she just wasn't positive enough for his new ministry of the great positive who knows what. Why was she so negative? Well, for a start, she was the only one with a JOB and she Had to pay the bills and that made her a little grumpy along with taking care of the kids and house while he sat on the sofa waiting for enlightenment with his new squeeze. I believe she was justified. He didn't. Believe it or not, she still loved him and for that deserved a smack up side the head.
Anyway, last night as I was looking at the pictures a friend was posting of the tornado in MO, I was simply knocked over by the devestation and I was just looking at pictures. I can imagine being there. I have been in a tornado and a LOT of hurricanes. I don't know if you can imagine being huddled in the dark, no power and hearing things crashing around you and you can't see anything or do anything until it is over. It has to be the most terrifying sensation except hearing bombs and bullets hitting and wondering if the door is going to open and you are next. I have experieinced both.
My Android phone has the crappy Facebook program on it. If I go to look at a post and another post arrives, when I try to go back to where I was in the list of posts, I am knocked to the top of the incoming posts. I am not singling any one person out because there were a lot, but between every picture I was getting at least 5 happy, fuzzy, positive, uplifting copied messages that were seriously ticking my off. When I am looking at every window in a hospital blown out (there were people in those rooms) and the hospital pretty close to being knocked down...think positive doesn't make it!
This morning I realized that after the earthquake in Haiti, I got the same thing. The Mississippi is flooded and I get pretty flowers. I am trying to do a healing ritual for these people and Mother Earth because she is really upset and if I just focus on the pretty picture and say I am positive, the whole world will be better. Come on people! Send healing, Send calming. Focus on people getting the help they need. Focus on the searchers being clear sighted and following their intuition to find the trapped and injured, but cut the positive crap.
Surrounding yourself in love, light and all things positive is no protection against a tornado. One picture last night so exemplified that. Two young people on a motorcycle were holding onto each other and for as far as you could see in front of them was total devastation. Get real. Do something that will really have an effect.
Stop being so totally self centered in your little fuzzy caccoon and use the ability the Universe gifted you with to HELP!
Now I shall get off my soap box.
By-the-way....I use my farming games to create spell workings. As I plant, I focus on nature healing herself. As I stock my factories, I focus on people getting jobs. As I buy a house and put it on the farm I focus on people having housing. As I harvest, I focus on people having enough food. The repetitive action increases the focus making the spell more effective. Try it. Add a little chant to each click. It works. That's why I never upgrade from my 3x3 implements!

A Major Aspect lasting a couple of days brings news of change from elders, authorities and the Universe in general and the news is coming really fast and furious. You really need to take notes on this transit lest you miss something you will need to know later. Since all the planets are in Earth Signs, water signs may have a little problem with this transit. People are less interested in emotion and spirituality than the practical applications thereof.
Another transit lasting at least a week or more brings the impetus for major changes but the change is in authority, leaders and governments. It also moves earth so be alert for any tsunami or earthquake alerts. If all your animals start running in one direction, follow them!
Communications and energy is very high overnight making it hard to sleep but you absolutely must keep track of your dreams. Important messages are contained within them. The answer to how to make the changes you know must be made are there if you pay attention to the signs. I got snookered. I saw these two cute little birds on the hedge at the bank and was making friends with them. I figured because they were small and totally fearless, they must be babies. I even had George leave them some food. Today I discovered they are BUTCHER BIRDS. Yes, they are fearless. They impal thier food on thorns and barbed wire and then butcher it. Some times they have a whole fence full of food waiting like their very own pantry. The little devils can even pick up snakes and small birds. They are also really cute.
The Cosmic Salamander is closed on Thursday for a knotting class. Now, I have to warn you, when studying macrame, I tied myself into a plant hanger and had to be cut loose so this may have been one of George's really bad ideas.
Today's Tarot Card is Judgement. Major decisions loom today and cannot be reversed.
I almost forgot, Napoleon has review of the new Fage Greek Yogurt singles. "Do you know how hard it was to get my head in that half moon shaped container??????" He loved the yogurt but was not happy with the container. I had the Strawberry and Goji berry and let's just say, so-so. Probably will stick to making my own with fresh fruit.

So this plan is saving us money but I am really worried about the accidents when people see his predatory smilling bald head on the sign and try to make a quick Uturn to get our of here.... Then again, he could have saved us money, stomped his ego centric self down and left the signs the way they were....It is rumored we will be putting our own signs up that say: Welcome the State of South Florida not to ever be confused with the State of North Florida which has all our tax dollars.

I really wish I knew why I am so exhausted. The scary thing is that it seems to be affecting the whole neighborhood. The kids aren't even out playing and harassing everyone. My only thought since crawling out of bed was how soon I could crawl back into it.
Our Senator, Bill Nelson, did a wonderful presentation on why gas prices are so high. Unfortunately, it appeared no one was actually in Congress at the time. It certainly underscored why our president can not do anything about the price of gas. So, I am going to try to explain it to you. Before Congress was taken over by the GOP Teabaggers, a law was passed giving an agency the right to impose minimum fees on oil speculators. This is important because even thought there has been NO disruption in oil flow from the Middle East, starting with the first signs of unrest in Egypt, oil prices started climbing. Climbing right along side those prices was the volume of oil speculation.
Now here comes the really important part for those of you who actually believe deregulation and supply side economics work. I am going to use a Lottery ticket as an example since most of you understand them. However, this is a very special lottery ticket. You have a 50/50 chance of winning this lottery. The winning amount is One Hundred Dollars ($100.00). Now you go in and buy a ticket for this lottery and it costs you $50.00 for one ticket but you have a 50/50 chance of winning, so it might be worth it. However, the guy behind you belongs to the Billionaires Special Investment Club and when he buys the ticket for that $100.00 prize, he only pays $6.00 for it. If you lose this bet, you lose $50.00 and if he loses, he is out $6.00. Now let me explain that those are the actual oil prices and the actual amount you would pay to speculate on 100.00 worth of oil is $50.00. In your club is all the little transportation companies and even the oil companies themselves. The guys over there that only pay 6.00 or 6% to gamble on oil futures are the 1-2% of the people in this country that control 99% of the wealth. Are you beginning to think this Lotto is rigged? You betcha! It is rigged in their favor. The most they lose is petty cash. The least you lose is everything. BUT, in case you have missed it, it allows them to control how much you pay for gas, not the president and not even the oil companies. Bill Nelson was begging Congress today to SUGGEST to this committee that they do something and NOTHING they do right this moment will actually take effect until JULY! Now this new law and its committee happen to be controlled by GOP Teabaggers and they have done nothing, in the name of God, America and the Free Market, to level the playing field so your little ticket costs the same as the Great Rich Guy Speculator, so gas prices can come down and you can afford to drive to work or to help the economy all in the real name of making sure Obama is a one term president.
Now I have one question for all of you. Is your home, car, job, family, health, food and everything you own worth making Obama a one term president because you are very likely, better than the Lotto odds, going to pay that price to do it? Do you really want to be part of this game a few old white rich men are playing? You are never going to be part of their club and they really don't care if you survive or not, just whether they get their way. Think about it for a while and then see if you aren't getting a little angry.

I started out giving weekly Stupid Awards and then the Tea Party and GOP took over Florida and I had to start giving out daily Stupid Award. After driving George to Harbor Freight, I think I am going to have to give out hourly Stupid Awards.
The 7 PM Stupid Award goes to the Idiot on Atlantic Blvd. who made a U-Turn, cutting me off at the light so he could go into the entrance one block from the entrance he made a Uturn at! Okay now this is why it is really STUPID. If I had hit him, he would have gotten the ticket for the accident because in Florida, you always get the ticket even if the other dirver is drunk, doing at least 75 in a 25 mph zone and runs a red light hit you if you are making a Uturn.! Trust me. I KNOW!

You will get a nice surprise by evening but that does nothing for your temper and by bedtime, old wounds surface and you are ready to bite nails in half.

It is impossible to not read the ads on the sidebar on FaceBook. We should stop spending and cut programs immediately because we are mortgaging their children's futures. Okay, let's start with FEMA. Hey, while we are gutting social security, education, medicare and health care, why not??? I see no reason why my kids futures should be mortgaged because someone didn't buy flood insurance or house insurance and lives in a flood zone or tornado alley. Why should I pay to patch them up after one of these floods or tornadoes if they can't find private health insurance? My kids shouldn't have to pay for their health care or medicine or clothes or food if they don't have the foresight to duck or run. Not my problem. Go Tea Party. Let's spend those tax dollars where they should be spent, helping corporations make money and maybe the Koch brothers will give you a coupon for some paper towels for your flood clean up because I sure ain't gonna.
Hey, either government gets out of your life and shrinks down to nothing and you handle everything or you try voting for the people who put these social programs in place for when people get into trouble. Since you already made your choice, have a nice day and remember, snakes do like rising water. With no health insurance, medicare or medicare, you sure don't want to get bit 'cause that antivenin is $600.00 a vial and I won't be letting them use my tax dollars for those socialist health care programs. I learned something interesting today. When the garden department at Lowes closes, the Geckos come out and take over. They were suddenly all over the sidewalk grabbing bugs and playing.

I won't go into detail but if I ever have to deal with another investment firm or bank, I shall scream. What part of IT'S OUR MONEY don't they seem to understand. Oh, the entire concept. If it weren't for my wonderful clients, I would move into cave somewhere and never come out. I heard BinLaden's is up for sale. A Spackle in the bullet holes and the cats and I could live nicely.
Today's Tarot Card is the 5 of Cups which indicates a person cannot see the positive aspects in a situation and focuses only on the negative and the losses.
The only aspect today allows you to come to terms with the limitation you now face in making things pretty, remodeling and generally giving up frills.

Your Wednesday, 05/11/11, Forecast
Today I experimented with herbal mosquitoe repellant. When you are broke and the Off doesn't come on sale until the 15th, you will try anything. There were three formulas. The one they were positive works, I had to forego. It involved rubbing yourself with catnip. I didn't think that was a very good idea around here. The next was using lavender. I didn't have any oil but I had some lavender perfume. It works but the mosquitoes hover out of range until the smell fades in about 30 minutes to an hour and you have to reapply it. As soon as I get some fresh basil, I am making an infusion. It will take three weeks to make. So, I tried some lavender incense I sell at a dollar a package. IT WORKED. The little devils cleared out fast. They really don't like the smell of lavender.
Napoleon is quite a cat. I made blackberry yogurt last night by blending Greek yogurt, vanilla, stevia and blackberries with one of those hand blender things. Then George and I split it and because I hate washing dishes, I was eating out of the 32 ounce container.Napoleon always licks the container. He managed to get halfway down it and then I fished some out on the spoon for him. Yes, I know he is spoiled rotten. When I started to take the container to the kitchen, the paw snaked out and grabbed it. He had the most determined look on his little face. I could just hear him saying, "I'm going in Deep! Spot me!" He laid his ears back to his head as tight as he could get them and with jaw set, in he went. I felt the tongue hitting the bottom of the container. A few minutes later he emerged covered in yogurt with a blackberry seed dangling off one eyebrow whisker and a dazed look on his face. Then I took the container in for washing while he spent a half an hour cleaning up his face.

BUT, I'm not rewriting history like the GOP/Tea Party, I am just reporting it.

Your Forecast for Monday, 05/09/11
Hope all you second class citizens in Florida had a Happy Mother's Day. Sen. Bob Graham, who I have always admires, stated that this Florida Legislature has pretty much undone over a 100 years of legislation to benefit the people of Florida. Of course, no one is mentioning that they have timed all this legislation to take effect in 2013, so you will notice no changes at election day on key issues. That way they can claim they really aren't as bad as they really are.
That reminds me of the cats and my Mother's Day gifts. They tried to pass a hairball off as art. Then they left me a dead Palmetto Bug on the sink. The only good cat in the house is Napoleon. He was laying next to me doing his purring and look at this act as I read the paper. Finally I noticed he was trying to point out a whisker he had left on his black side. I put it in a special tube. Hey, it was the only gift that didn't require cleaning up.
Today's Tarot Card is Judgement. Major decisions have to made today.

The morning starts on a deceptive note and you are mildly irritated you aren't getting the whole truth. An elder or authority who refuses to budge an inch sends you home in a very bad mood. Just don't translate that to road rage and watch out for everyone else on the road.

I am very close to finishing the sorting of findings and beads so I can get to work. I have learned a few things. When doing an initial sort, bead/not bead is not the best way. When sorting findings, never wear a magnetic bracelet. You will have findings flying everywhere. You will never buy enough containers. When you finally finish and think you are going to put your feet up and label everything, you will find another bag to sort. And so goes the great finding and bead sort. No, I am not finished.

Your Weekend Forecast for May 7/8, 2011
I have had a busy and stressful day. Today we had to deal with the financial whatever the heck they are. I think I need a shower. I started to take one of their free give away bags and then I thought, gee what a perfect way to advertise I might have money, please mug me. I left that on the rack. Then in a continuing effort to make certain we can not get our hands on our money, it will take a week to clear the check and they don't seem to have any way to transfer money out of the account except to wait for them to print checks and mail them to us. By then, I am going to owe everyone and his half brother. Okay, deep breath! Stick pin in George Bush poppet. Ah...that feels so much better.
Saturday you may awaken early with an old wound kicking you in pain centers and an emotional upset. The good news is by breakfast, you have the problem solved, the lesson learned and you won't do that again.
However, by lunch and changes are a push/pull affair that winds up with nothing happening. By evening just how badly it isn't going to happen.
Sunday starts off with you feeling really good and degenerates from there. Even though it is Mother's Day, I humbly suggest you avoid your family. Even pleasant social events in the afternoon turn into arguments as harsh words are exchanged a little too fast and finally the end game: arguments over money and what belongs to whom.

I think I finally have enough sorting boxes for all the beads and findings and I have a fantasy of finishing all the sorting tomorrow. Notice I am not delusional enough to actually believe it will happen.

Happy Cinco de Mayo.
Found objects are the sweetest and they are FREE. We found a lovely set of damaged old world replica tables thrown out in the rich side of our area. We promptly scrounged them. One is too badly damaged to use, but we will combine them and create one gorgeous readings/altar table in the show room. People just have no imagination and toss out the best things.On the other hand, that is really wonderful for us upcyclers.
Today's Tarot Card is the Fool. Today really is the first day of the rest of your life. It may take a leap of faith, but you CAN DO IT!
It was a restless night where you kept going over what you can't do. News of change sweeps you up in a decorating frenzy. Go ahead and do it. Just a coat of paint can make a world of difference in how things feel to you.
I finally gave in and let Bitwit have the entire glass counter. She is sooooo happy.

Your Forecast for Wednesday, 05/04/11
There are a lot of things that amaze me in the universe but the one that really gets to me is how people somehow think "psychics" are so different. For example, if you call right now, do expect to get in to see your doctor in 5 minutes when he is fully booked? So, why do people think that they don't need an appointment to see a psychic? Try as I may, I can't read three people at once as I only have two hands, one deck, one brain and one mouth. I know that is shocking, but the Universe did not give me any extras. And even more shocking is the fact that I have to eat, do laundry, shop and actually wash dishes. Unfortunately, the faery my grandmother gave me wasn't a Brownie. People actually get angry when they find out I am booked. Go figure.....I have a simple philosphy here at the shop. The person who spends the time to come in to shop is more important than the one who calls me on the phone. Reasons are very simple for that one. I have people running me all over the shop looking for prices and to see if I have merchandise and may be, on a good day, 1 out of 5 actually ever shows up to buy anything. That has been a hard lesson for George to learn.
The other one involves special orders. The very first special order I took for a gal to make some jewelry, even though she described exactly what she wanted and got a quote, it was too expensive when the piece was made. I had even made a cheaper back up piece and she didn't want that one. She also stiffed me with a bad credit card for a reading and actually tried to stiff me the second time. Funny how when I took the credit card info and said call back in five minutes when I clear it and the previous bill, she never called back. BY-the-way, I don't want your customers, baby boy. They all stiffed me or tried to. Please keep them!
Now I have learned to get a deposit to cover materials and some labor before I start a project. I have learned to get the full amount on "special orders". I have learned never to risk money buying rare products for people that no one else has ever wanted. Get the money up front or you will be looking at that product for a long, long time. I have also learned to call the company and ask what the minimum order is while sitting down because the floor is awful hard in here when I pass out. I hope that explains why some of you who are very reliable and honorable find it hard to get anyone to do anything for you. There are just too many rotten apples in the barrel in South Florida and some times, when you want a product, the company will insist you buy at least 250.00 worth of that product to get one for an order. Goddess knows how those companies stay in business because I sure don't.

May Day will be over soon. My tools will be readied. My new sales book dedicated. My new jewelry making enterprise is begun. I just wish I didn't want to keep everything I make! I have a pair of money earrings made with Cinnabar yin/yang beads, black goldstone beads and snowflake obsidian hearts. Not only do they bring money but the snowflake obsidian grounds it and holds it for you. Now, if I didn't have two cinnabar frogs that are going to become earrings, you might never pry those out of my hands. Making jewelry isn't as easy as it looks. I have to practice my loops daily to keep in shape or I may revert to the old lopsided ones!
My big extravaganza was getting 40% off my chain nose pliers, 15% off my beads and 10% off my entire order at Michaels'!!! It still cost me enough to have me selling my nice crystal protection earrings. They are a dark red crystal for protection and a clear drop crystal for more protection. They are very elegant. No one will guess what they really are.
