Forecast and Faery Finder
By Janice Scott-Reeder and the Bitwit

Due to Cancer surgery on my forehead, I will off indefinitely until I can heal completely, have at least one more operation to remove more cancer, heal…move to Hawaii and say the H with it!

Message from the Microwits: Adult cats are all dumb. Daddy took a bath in the rain booth and Lady Jayne came in and tried out the bath chair. She was running all around, until Mommy caught her, with her tail and ass soaking wet and she didn’t even know it. Wow, that hair must be really thick! Mommy calls her a Faux Persian whatever that is…We are sleek little American eating and fighting machines, not some fluffy foreign thing.
Message from Mommy: You had better not let her hear that as her paw is as big as your little heads and she has one mean right hook. Claws and teeth are useless against all that padding she carries around. You are very lucky little fur rats she is confined to an air conditioned room all day.

According to Llewellyn’s Spell-a-Day Almanac, today’s color is green and the incense is Apricot.

FORECASTS:

Deck: Navigators Tarot of the Mystic Sea.

Today’s Tarot Card is the Star: revelation. Meditation bring revelations that the conscious mind is too busy to notice. They are not magic, just thoughts arising from your unconscious mind to guide you via the subtleties and nuances you normally don’t even see. Be still and release the subtle waves of intent that you are storing and they will influence the ether around you and bring the result your conscious mind cannot grasp or effect. This place of peace is the source of your resourcefulness, confidence and potential. Let is shine forth and take root in the material world from the dimension of thought and illusion.

Astrological Source: Llewellyn’s 2007 Daily Planetary Guide.

Astrologically, an aspect lasting pretty much a month or two now brings change via authorities and elders to those needing a little Karmic correction for their past efforts in the negative side. You may awaken very early with you mind moving much faster than your body can keep up. Don’t let that translate into road rage and being snippy with everyone in your vicinity just because there are rules and regulation holding your dreams down. You can soar in the afternoon an evening as news about finances lifts your spirits, and lesson learned finally pay off big time. Romance is in the air tonight. Everyone is positively psychic!

Deck: Healing with the Fairies.
The Faeries say parenting and children are highlighted today. What lesson are you teaching by example?

Today’s Cat Comfort Card is Cool Cat: “Pride comes before a fall - humility is needed today.” As is restraint I might add.

Deck: The Fairies’ Oracle by Brian Froud & Jessica MacBeth

Today’s Faery Finder is on the lookout for Roar. If he shows up this morning, be wary. It is like pouring gasoline on a fire. However, this afternoon you can channel his energies more wisely into finances and teaching and learning as long as you know when to stop.

Today’s Lo Shu Number is 8 and the Element is water. The Ox fins conflict today. Today is not an auspicious day for haircuts, medical procedures, writing, gambling, construction or births. Boy, am I glad I took a Friday doctor’s appointment. I don’t need anything else working against my healing.
My Feng Shui mentor once said that Magic only accounts for about 1 - 2 % of the energy to do something, but when all things are equal, that percent is all you need.

Today’s Message from the Universe is: “The plan of my life is now unfolding step by step, according to the will of my Higher Self. I acknowledge each one of its stages with serenity, detachment an joy, knowing that I am always lovingly and wisely guided on my path toward the full realization of my true potential.” Annie Marquier creating a world of peace one thought at a time.

COMMENTARIES BY JANICE SCOTT-REEDER

Cats are just like humans. Boogaboo has two sisters and a brother to play with. All he does is hang around the bedroom door so he can sneak in play with the big boy: Napoleon. Napoleon is amazingly gentle with him and he even baths him. However, together, they can destroy a room in a matter of minutes. Boogaboo has a fascination with lamps and wants to crawl under the shades.
I have always wondered why the full moon is said to last 2 days before and after the event for a total of 5 days, whereas the new moon is just one moment, one night. Tuesday night we were commenting that even though the moon is almost full, it was extremely dark, almost new moon dark. We were guessing it is the African dust that has invaded us. Then I noticed what I had saw but not registered on Monday night. Unless you had a perfect circle, a telescope or really, really good eyes, the Moon looked totally full for all intents and purposes. That’s the why of the 5 day Full Moon. To the ancients, she must have looked completely full for 5 days. However, just a sliver of light ruins the New Moon, so she is really only a night long and only partially at that. Isn’t it amazing how it takes just a sliver of light to overcome darkness? Is that a metaphor I wonder?
I finished The Brutal Telling by Louise Penny and it is fantastic. I do not kid. I toss a lot of advance copies I get after the first couple of chapters because they just aren’t worth finishing, but this is a whole different rabbit. From start to finish, you will be enthralled. You are sure you know who did it, you are probably right but there are so many twists and turns you will doubt everything you are seeing. And…there is so much history woven into the story you will learn things about our neighbors to the north, Canada, you never knew. You’ll learn about the art business, get some wonderful ideas for meals you can’t afford and a rare glimpse into human nature as you learn what is worst than Chaos. It is many stories within a story that entertain and enlighten from page one to the very last page. Louise Penny is a master story teller.
As I went to the kitchen for my last glass of sweet tea, I turned and beheld a sight more hideous than any before. We had to turn the overhead fan on low because of the heat, confident that at that speed no cats would harmed or at least whacked silly. However, the fan speed has been increasing even though the pull chain was carefully looped out of range if prying cat paws. There, in the middle of the room, upon the top of Rusty J Hoover’s cage, so placed to keep him cool in front of air conditioner, was one Napoleon, standing up on his haunches, batting the pull cord with its little plastic unicorn dangling from it. But far worse, standing on his hind legs beside Napoleon, learning the tricks of the trade, was one Bluemantoo or Mr. B. as he now demands to be addressed. Even worse was the hero worship in Mr. B’s eyes as Napoleon taught him the fine art of changing the fan speed and having fun at the same time. So I grabbed Napoleon and placed him in the bedroom and Mr. B. moved off an stretched out for a well deserved nap. Not more than a minute later I turned around and Mr. B was plying his new found art. So, down he came and into the cat log he went forthwith for a forced nap that probably lasted a nanosecond. I know when I’m beat.
