I awoke feeling like something horrible had crawled in my mouth and died a hard death. Then a clap of thunder almost knocked me out of bed. Fifteen straight days of rain, a toad in shower and cats are going stir crazy looking for a sun beam. I think my toes are now webbed. I no longer feel like something with claws and teeth is trying to get out of my stomach but I am not dumb enough to poke that bear with a food stick.
The cats had other plans and demanded breakfast way before I was ready to leave my bed. They have a system. Each cat demands to be let out of the bedroom individually. By cat three, I am up and capable of opening cans, though not in the greatest of moods. Purdy vonSweets will trill until she gets me awake and I throw her out. Lady Jayne is always the last with the incessant kneading on my head. Napoleon is first with the bounce off my hip. It’s a good thing I have strong bones. And scientists think they are incapable of long range planning…… Boy, have I got news for them. They are plotting world domination, just as soon as they figure out how to open a can of cat food.

It is filled with first hand accounts of her life and “finding grace amid the chaos”. I know you will totally enjoy the stories.
On the Fiction Front: Ilona Andrews writes a marvelous series called Magic: Magic Burns, Magic Strikes and Magic Bites. In the series, set in Atlanta, they experience Magic waves where technology fails and magic takes over. A mercenary named Kate Daniels winds up working for the Order of Knights of Merciful Aid, a pretty strict organization, while handling the problems of werewolves, vampires and a whole slew of mystical creatures that manifest during the Magic Waves. It is gritty and fast paced. You’ll love the mysteries.
George tries valiantly to keep the cats out of the bedroom so I can work on the web. I gave up and am just trying to coexist with jealous furballs.
George fixed me breakfast and put a couple of strips of ham the plate. My stomach was not tolerating that. My constant companion, Napoleon, immediately sniffed them out and sat on my keyboard. Horrible sounds followed and I discovered he had turned on Microsoft Messenger. I didn’t even know I had it on the computer. I guess the message was: You’ve got ham. He got the ham.

Remember when I said Napoleon was a lap hog and impossible to work around. Well, that title now goes to Lady Jayne. Not only does she take up my entire lap, but her head goes on the scratch pad and she grabs my other hand. She is totally impossible to work around. Sorry Nappie, but she has you beat.
Vanwitch is sick! The check engine light is staying on and she had to have an appointment to go into the dealer on Monday. Wow! Now you make appointments on the internet to see her personal service advisor. Things sure have changed since I last had a new car some thirty something years ago. We had mechanics, not personal service advisors. You drove down when something went wrong, you didn’t make an appointment. She has to be well by Wednesday because that is the day Bitwit gets spayed.

I think it has been raining for 12 days. We’ve lost count. Send Sun. We are mildewing. I think my toes are now webbed. Hurry…..
Working at home means I have to type with Napoleon on my lap. It isn’t easy because his favorite position is laying on one wrist and I really need both hands. Not only that but it is quite a reach to get to the laptop with him like a huge speed bump.
All but one Microwit has concluded I bring food and therefore am a good person that should not be hissed at.
I am beginning to conclude that psychics are genetically more sensitive to medication that most normal people. It must come with the heightened senses. Late last night I was having all the symptoms of a nasty cold. So, I took one, not the recommended dose of two, Nightquil. I slept until 5 PM with the alarm finally giving out at some point, the cats declaring me dead and on my back which is a position I never sleep in. It causes back pain. Well, since I can’t cut the liquid capsule in half, I guess that mean no more of that for me. My pharmacy cabinet is getting smaller and smaller. It has about two bottles in it now of things I can take.

Like all little feral Microwits, they are hissing at me. Then one little black discovered I am the bringer of cans. That one no longer hisses. It is now a kept Microwit.
Last night one of the little (about an inch) toad invaded the shower. Fortunately when I tell the boys, Napoleon or Purrbah, to stop, they do. The same cannot be said of the girls. So for about five minutes, Purrbah just pointed to the toad with his nose as we went round and round the shower. Finally I caught it and put it outside. Without him, it would have escaped several times.

I have always gotten the involuntary shakes when I see someone with their eyebrow pierced. You can pierce anything else and it has no effect on me but that makes me shudder. I now know why. The dermatologist took a huge slice out of my forehead and little tweak off one eyebrow. So far I have bent over and whacked the forehead spot on fridge door. I saw stars but that was all. However, when the gentle breeze from the air conditioner vent caresses the eyebrow spot, I am screaming for a morphine drip. I have no idea how that one little spot can hurt so much, but it is worse than when the stupid cardiologist decided to insert the catheter on the groin nerve for some mysterious reason no one has been able to figure out and I was doubled over for over a month. Oh, and the cardiology group refused to prescribe painkillers because that procedure shouldn‘t hurt. Fortunately, the ER physicians had a better idea.
Well, it is time to tell you a story that knocked us for a loop. Late one night George came to me and said he had an emergency to get out in the living room right then. He had eaten the pizza I had told him to give raccoons because it was left out over night and he thought he was hallucinating. Would I please go to the front door and tell him what I saw on the floor. So, here I go and look down and there sit four three week old kittens.
Now, several things went through my head. First off, I wasn’t stupid enough to eat that pizza. Second, ALL MY CATS ARE SPAYED AND NEUTERED! How did these little kittens get into my house. Where did they come from. So I leaned down and a little tabby with a cream spot right in the center of her head ran over and jumped in my hand. The remainder followed her. So here I stand with four tiny kittens in my hands. Well, I put them in the cage and checked Gizmo, whose former owners had sworn was spayed, and she was not nursing. Brownie has been with me for two years and I was sure was spayed and anyway, I know I got the Kitwits snipped before they figured out what their equipment was for. Once again, not nursing! That left Creamfoot whom I let in the house a month ago thinking she was a cat that had run away a couple years ago when the front door was accidentally left ajar: a spayed cat. She was damp and nursing. Now, she had been eating like a small pig, but at no time did this cat appear large enough to be pregnant and with four kittens. She is a tiny little thing. I am sure I would have noticed. We don’t know exactly where she hid the kittens for three weeks but she did a really good job of it. Then we decided she was just eating too much for one cat and cut her rations in half. That is when she brought out kittens, which immediately figured out how to eat cat food. I am going to be emptying cat pans in my 70’s! Next cat that walks through the door gets spayed whether she is spayed or not. Heck, I’m telling the vet to spay her twice just for good measure! So now I have the Catwits, Kitwits, and the Bitwit. This new group shall be known as the Microwits and there will be no more kittens!
And that was my weekend…..Oh, and before I forget, go out to the Costco.com website. You don’t need a membership to enter it. Go to the pet cat section. They have a flushing kitty pan. I don’t have 300.00 to waste, but if I did, my cats would have one! Of course, the shop cats are trying to talk me into another cat tree for the shop……

am still in pain. This new dermatologist is a lot more aggressive than the last one and before I knew it, she had me pinned down and that bottle of liquid nitrogen primed. I look like I have been mugged with the bandages from the biopsies and the huge red spots from burning off the precancerous lesions all over my face. The other doctor ignored them. I even had to cancel my favorite doctor’s appointment this morning because every time I blink, the tears fill my eyes and I can’t see straight. That is not a good way to drive in the rain.
Now remember when I told you about the reality as life as a psychic. Well, I debated for an hour before canceling the doctor’s appointment. About 15 minutes before I would have left for the appointment, it started raining lightly. Right at the moment I was to leave, the wind started howling worse than in the last hurricane, it sounded like things were falling on the roof and when I looked out, the lawn was covered in hail. It kept it up for close to 20 minutes. I would never have made it to the doctor’s office.
As to the latest in the health crisis legislation, we are screwed. Electronic billing is the answer. Yeah, sure, and I believe in other mythical creatures, too. I just got a call from the hospital wanting a huge sum of money, close to 800.00. This left me speechless because I put money in an IRS account, have a credit card on the account and the copayments are taken out of it. Well, it seems the company George worked for cancelled the credit card two months early, the charges were declined in 2008 and they are just getting back to me with it. I lost that excess money in 2009 and the government just absorbs it. Oh yes, let’s go to electronic billing and see if anyone gets anything paid out of insurance or the IRS accounts!!!! Or we can talk about when the insurance clerk inserted the wrong insurance company for no reason and it took me 6 months to find out by which time it was too late to get my money back out of the IRS account. No one could answer why the charges were constantly declined by insurance including the insurance company. It could be because they went to the wrong insurance company. That little slip of the finger, left the doctor’s office, propagated through the labs and the hospital until nothing was being paid and everyone was going all…..”well, we don’t why….until a lab finally put the code for the insurance company on a bill and I saw it and knew what had happened. Oh yes, you are really going to enjoy electronic billing. I sure do.
The cats are being really nice to me. I know they know I am in pain. Even Prescious is not doing his normal complaining.

am still in pain. This new dermatologist is a lot more aggressive than the last one and before I knew it, she had me pinned down and that bottle of liquid nitrogen primed. I look like I have been mugged with the bandages from the biopsies and the huge red spots from burning off the precancerous lesions all over my face. The other doctor ignored them. I even had to cancel my favorite doctor’s appointment this morning because every time I blink, the tears fill my eyes and I can’t see straight. That is not a good way to drive in the rain.
Now remember when I told you about the reality as life as a psychic. Well, I debated for an hour before canceling the doctor’s appointment. About 15 minutes before I would have left for the appointment, it started raining lightly. Right at the moment I was to leave, the wind started howling worse than in the last hurricane, it sounded like things were falling on the roof and when I looked out, the lawn was covered in hail. It kept it up for close to 20 minutes. I would never have made it to the doctor’s office.
As to the latest in the health crisis legislation, we are screwed. Electronic billing is the answer. Yeah, sure, and I believe in other mythical creatures, too. I just got a call from the hospital wanting a huge sum of money, close to 800.00. This left me speechless because I put money in an IRS account, have a credit card on the account and the copayments are taken out of it. Well, it seems the company George worked for cancelled the credit card two months early, the charges were declined in 2008 and they are just getting back to me with it. I lost that excess money in 2009 and the government just absorbs it. Oh yes, let’s go to electronic billing and see if anyone gets anything paid out of insurance or the IRS accounts!!!! Or we can talk about when the insurance clerk inserted the wrong insurance company for no reason and it took me 6 months to find out by which time it was too late to get my money back out of the IRS account. No one could answer why the charges were constantly declined by insurance including the insurance company. It could be because they went to the wrong insurance company. That little slip of the finger, left the doctor’s office, propagated through the labs and the hospital until nothing was being paid and everyone was going all…..”well, we don’t why….until a lab finally put the code for the insurance company on a bill and I saw it and knew what had happened. Oh yes, you are really going to enjoy electronic billing. I sure do.
The cats are being really nice to me. I know they know I am in pain. Even Prescious is not doing his normal complaining.

After the fun day with Advantage, ¾ of the cats are not speaking to me and the other ¼ is figuring out how to get even with me.
The shop cats have gotten so used to their fresh catnip that whenever I arrive, they expect to get some or else. You do not want to know what the or else is.
I’m having a peaceful day off, waiting for rains and storms to arrive. Maybe people will survive the evening commute before they hit and the flooding begins. Our rain storms dump a few inches in minutes and no storm drain can cope with that. That is, if anyone put a storm drain in. You have to understand, Florida is built on a sand bar. In some areas you have little or no dirt over what we call Florida marble. That is coral that is so compressed and old, it is solid. They have to blast holes to plant trees. Not only that, but go deep enough and sometimes that is a few feet and you hit water. We sit on a huge reservoir that literally has rivers running through it underground. So, storm drains are not always possible or cost efficient. Where they do put them in, we then lose our ground water as they happily pump it out to the ocean and then wonder why we don’t have enough. Hey, we were a swamp and the swamp feeds the underground aquifer. Third graders understand that. Why don’t politicians? Oh, I forgot…money from construction.

Ah the wonders of cat ownership. I put Advantage on all the cats. All night Prescious kicked and whined until I tossed him out of the bedroom. Then he howled until I let him back in. A little while later I turned over and he howled. What was wrong with that CAT now? It turned out he had tunneled under my pillow and I was laying on him.
I brought some fresh catnip into the shop and one petunia plant that had finished its life to get the seed pods off. As soon as I got it on the table I had Loki in the middle of it seeking catnip. I managed to get him out of the petunia and on to the catnip area. Those seeds are micro sized and I hope it isn’t a hybrid. These purple ones I bought are so fragrant. They have a spicy scent and I love it.
It’s been a wet day for which we are all grateful. I made it through 2 days of Cipro before my stomach totally rebelled. I may try another one tonight but this is not boding well for the antibiotic treatment. I know I can’t take the next one in line because that is instant upchucking after they drip it into a vein. Being allergic to everything is no fun.
Well, Ra has taken up her spot next to me on the magick box, so I guess I’d better get to work on the forecast.

My ear cleaning solution for the cats arrived and Ra was ear winging it on the table. The instruction said to apply it liberally to the cat’s ear. What it should have said was; stand in the center of room and apply liberally to your surroundings. She is not speaking to me and one ear is now being held at a flat angle to her head. I think you know what list I just made. I try.
People often wonder what it is really like to be a psychic. Is my life filled with startling visions that knock me off my feet? Nope, that’s just the vertigo. Do I know everything about everyone I meet? Would you really want to? Heck no, I have my shields up so I don’t invade other people’s privacy unless they pay me. So, what’s the fun? Well, there really isn't that much fun. It’s watching the light turn green and not moving into the intersection. Then the first car that ventures out there gets totaled. It’s picking out something to buy and then deciding not to only to have it come on sale the next day. It’s always finding the matching, missing part to an outfit your bought a week later in another town. It’s hitting the brakes a minute before the speed trap. More recently, it was not finishing the area in front on the sign post at the shop. I have been dragging my feet and doing everything else for a couple of months. A couple of days ago, FPL contractors arrived and started drilling and tearing the area up with their trucks so bad they even managed to knock the flag pole off the sign post. Hey fellows, you do not leave the American Flag on the ground! Anyway, now I don’t have to do the landscaping twice. Does being psychic help you in your personal life? Only when you let it and that sense of preservation doesn’t seem to kick in until you are around my age. You still make a huge number of real boo-boo’s before then. Do I see ghosts and spirits everywhere? Only if I look. Otherwise, I can be as oblivious as the next person. BUT..when they drop coins, knock on walls or move things around, I am way more likely to start paying attention than the person next to me.
How about being a Druid or witch? Well, I don’t get to turn people into toads or the toad population would have exploded years ago. It is being more in tune with your environment. It’s knowing the bird feeder is empty and the crow is about to do the nasty to your van if you don’t get out there and fill it ASAP. It’s walking out to water and knowing it is going to rain. It is being more in tune with your environment and feeling more what is going on around you. It is understanding what your cat is communicating even if you have no intention of opening another can. It is picking the freshest, more vibrant food at the grocery and knowing when something has too much insecticide on it for human consumption. It is calling the wind and having it answer.

Well, this is going to be an early day. The Cell Phone Tower next door, which I wish I could chop down, is getting more power. I think that means I’ll be microwaved shortly. They have to drill under my parking lot. They have both buildings blocked to the corner and the noise is unbelievable. I can’t hear myself think. I am trying to not get a headache. One thing about blackbirds, drills, trucks and a small army of men will not deter them from their bird feeder. It also did not keep old man Blue from his can of cat food.
Then Bitwit dropped three books on my head. I had bought a fake blackbird for Samhain and stuck it up in the bookcase over my head. For weeks she has been emptying my desk and I have no idea why. Finally, I found the bird on my desk and knew why. So, I moved it to where she can’t find it. She is seeking and dropping everything in her path on me. My Bitwit, the huntress! OUCH! I don’t think I am escaping this day without a headache.
Ah, and my prediction I dreamed: The Flu will return when the time changes to a location where the tomatoes are raised and half ripe. It will be worse.

I come in with my lunch and the first thing I see is the Blue Jay - yes, that’s singular. - has emptied all the bird feeder. I started to stop and refill them and then I thought, little piggy can get grain off the ground where he dropped everything that didn’t agree with him. Then I had to feed the cats before eating and while I got the can of food open, I left my lunch on the table. I did have the forethought to put my keys on my sandwich, lest it try to grow legs and walk away. Sure enough, Bitwit was trying to remove the keys by the time I got back. As it was, I had to share with Ra the Sun Goddess.
Sleeping with Purdy is too much. When she eats her coffee, she goes to sleep and then it seems to hit her around midnight. I think I am bruised from all the kneading.
We had quiet the thunderstorm this morning. It woke me up at 6:30 vibrating the whole house. The cats were bouncing off the walls. It took me twenty minutes to pick everything up off the floor. At least the plants are happy.
My new perfume is Deep Woods Off. The mosquitoes are awful.

Those birds have got to start taking a less splashy bath. I am getting tired of refilling the bird baths daily. Everything is growing like mad around here. Makes me wonder what the rainy season is going to be like!!!
It seems that small stores and psychics all over the country are going to appointment only hours and people are wondering why. Most of us are one or two person operations, ie. The Mom and Pop stores. It is just getting too dangerous to open the door to the general public. In this economy anyone is a target for robbery or someone to blame.
Stores are offering store credit instead of refunds. The reason behind that is for the most part, the merchandise cannot be resold. So taking it back is a direct loss to the store. Too many people have become abusers from the person who buys clothes, wears them with the tags tucked in and returns them to the big ritual where all the supplies are returned after the holiday. Things like Tarot Decks can’t be resealed and more often than not are returned missing cards. So with the times, the policies have to change.
Another question I am frequently asked is why this candle, oil, incense or spell didn’t work for me. Normally it is something as simple as one or more of the ingredients do not vibrate properly with your energy. Last night I bought some ear mite medicine for Napoleon. Be wary of Four Paws Brand. The stuff is so thick you can barely get a single drop out, let along the 4 or 5 they want you to put in the cat’s ear. It is a total wash out. The most you will get in the cats ear is a single drop if that. It’s hard to hit a moving target. I have even tried increasing the hole size and it is strictly the thickness of the stuff. It won’t come out easily.
It seems every day down here, some poor old lady gets mugged for her purse or a store gets robbed. The net is only a couple of dollars, but it is happening and you know it is just because they are easy targets. So, I have closed the store except by appointment. That way I can control who is coming into the store and have a bit more control over my time. I can now jump in Vanwitch and ship that emergency order in the middle of day! And let’s face it, some times Bitwit just isn’t ready for Prime Time as they say. She needs her beauty sleep.
I know the CDC decided to be politically correct and relabel the Swine Flu but I think they got the name wrong. It should be called the fast food flu. I choke over a perfectly good breakfast of egg and cheesy grits and have no problem with a package of Mickey D’s French fries. I literally can’t eat anything and almost upchucked a peanut M&M, and eat a Whopper Meal. Is this some sort of a conspiracy and engineered virus to boost sagging sales???
There is one lesson about life I have learned from playing Solitaire. No matter how good a hand you are dealt, you can still lose.

Let’s see, not eating and still weak is the name of the game. Will this bug ever go away?
Last night Napoleon was laying next me attempting to bond at a molecular level when I did my nightly aura sealing for sleep. He was so close, I just included him the seal. Boy, he jumped up, ran off and perched on the top of armoire. He was glaring and I distinctly heard him say, “You can’t do that to a sentinel.” Hummmm……is that why the Kitwits are so intelligent and different from all other cats?
I brought more fresh catnip into the shop. As usual, Loki slurps the leaves whole. If that boy were human, he would be baking those funny brownies. Ra got a stem on the floor. She wore herself out rolling on it and had to nap. Then she found it about six hours later and did the same thing. So if you see a huge, and I mean huge, cream colored cat doing strange gyrations on the shop web cam, you know what is going on. I had to go buy another catnip plant. These guys have quite a habit going. The house cats are so bad I buy the pint container of Cosmic Catnip!
Bravo to George for managing to thwart a break-in at the comic’s store across the street last night. This is going to be fun. The cops and immigration have the names of the burglars from last year and I have them on video last night. Monday is not going to be their good day. I also still have things they touched neatly sealed up from last year. This is really not going to be their year and that inventory includes some personal things they lost in the break-in. Never mess with a witch and the Fae. The Fae are excellent pick pockets. Rings slide right off your fingers and things leave your pockets. You’ll notice a week later. We aren’t big on second chances. It really doesn’t matter who they try to send over here to case my store. I am psychic, idiots. That’s how I make my living. I know when someone intends me harm and now-a-days, I will hit first. And, don’t send your minions over to break into my shop to do your mother’s day shopping if you want to have a mother left. I know she is in on this. That is a statement of fact.

I brought more fresh catnip into the shop. As usual, Loki slurps the leaves whole. If that boy were human, he would be baking those funny brownies. Ra got a stem on the floor. She wore herself out rolling on it and had to nap. Then she found it about six hours later and did the same thing. So if you see a huge, and I mean huge, cream colored cat doing strange gyrations on the shop web cam, you know what is going on. I had to go buy another catnip plant. These guys have quite a habit going. The house cats are so bad I buy the pint container of Cosmic Catnip!
Bravo to George for managing to thwart a break-in at the comic’s store across the street last night. This is going to be fun. The cops and immigration have the names of the burglars from last year and I have them on video last night. Monday is not going to be their good day. I also still have things they touched neatly sealed up from last year. This is really not going to be their year and that inventory includes some personal things they lost in the break-in. Never mess with a witch and the Fae. The Fae are excellent pick pockets. Rings slide right off your fingers and things leave your pockets. You’ll notice a week later. We aren’t big on second chances. It really doesn’t matter who they try to send over here to case my store. I am psychic, idiots. That’s how I make my living. I know when someone intends me harm and now-a-days, I will hit first. And, don’t send your minions over to break into my shop to do your mother’s day shopping if you want to have a mother left. I know she is in on this. That is a statement of fact.

It’s funny, but in all the years I have worked on computers, I never really got the hang of split screens until I caught this flu. Now I can write and watch the shop cam at the same time. Wow! Who knew? I know, probably everyone else in the Known Universe and few in the Unknown Universe. I amuse easily.
Last night Purdy von Sweets arrived to sleep with me. I have no idea what has suddenly turned her into such a little love bug, except maybe I am sick and her only source of coffee. It seems I can stay in the bed as long as I am willing to allow her to sleep on my arm and my expensive microbead pillow. She certainly has good taste in sleeping arrangements. However, Purdy and Napoleon will not share a bed, nor the human. It is one at a time.
Sitting here watching the shop cam, I wonder if Loki knows he is being watched and why he insists on washing the family jewels on camera. Every once in a while he looks directly at the camera like he knows. Most humans don’t even know where the camera is but all the cats seem to. Weird??? I wonder if they see the infrared? Of course they do.
Last night in an insane moment I thought going to Lowes garden department would make me feel better. So, George drove Vanwitch and me down there. I love their discount plants. A couple of weeks ago I got a chocolate coleus with green edges that was hanging out of the pot. I repotted it into a large pot and Goddess, it is a traffic stopper at the shop. Now I am torn whether to let it bloom. I have a smaller curly leaved one that I let bloom last summer and it didn’t die. In fact, it is now three years old. I thought they were annuals. So last night netted me more of the white flowered plant and 2 cuphea Bat’s Face. A friend on Facebook looked it up and it attracts butterflies so the escapees -Don’t tell anyone!- from Butterfly World will have a ball.
They all need repotting and so far today, I feel pretty awful. I overdid myself last night and am now paying the price. The pain, stopped up head, and coughing I can deal with, but the nausea is totally doing me in. I cannot function. I really wish Purdy von Sweets would stop licking her self. It’s making sea sick……and Prescious is howling for breakfast! Dear Goddess, mommy is sick and you have a whole Great Dane sized feeder full of Meow Mix! Give me a break here! And he did. He upchucked all the dry he ate.
I’ve been reading the House of Night Novels. So, I’m not a teenager! Bite me! I love the calling of the elements in the book. I think you will, too. I started with Chosen but the first is Marked. Some good lessons are in those books. I know a few older, adults who could use with a refresher in the consequences of magick by reading them.
I’ve been trying to keep the tomato plants in their cages but they keep screaming they are free range tomatoes.

Today is Furry Day. (I think every day is furry day at my house.) I have never heard of this so here is what the Almanac says and keep in mind, the British are a little eccentric. This day celebrates the return of the Greenman and Flora. People get dressed up, decorate their houses with green boughs, wear sprigs of Lily of the Valley and do not go to work. Now, we like that part! They visit friends on this day until finally it turns into a big block party. Now, if you have any idea why they call it Furry Day instead of Green Day, I want to know.

Now that Prescious knows I will clear the cat log for him, he wants to sleep on the bathroom rug. I will never understand cats if I live to be a 100. Napoleon is one of the sweetest little kitties to sleep with. He takes up very little room, never pushes you and just sort of goes limp in an elongated position. So imagine my surprise when I found myself teetering on the edge of the bed, kitty paws pushing me steadily over the edge. Finally I turned on the light to see exactly what Napoleon was doing to me and discovered Purdy von Sweets was laying on him. I mean she was laying right over him, pushing me out of the bed. After an hour of trying to convince her it was my bed, I threw her out of the bedroom. If I hadn’t turned the light on, I would have thought it was Napoleon.
I am still under the weather, but improving. I decided to pretend I was well and eat an egg sandwich for breakfast. I sat with the thing in my hand so long it was either take a bite or propose to it, so I got it down. This Flu is one great diet. You do not want to eat.
Of course, while I am weak, I get another of those premonition dreams about people I don’t know. For my new readers: This has been happening for years. I have prophetic dreams about something that is about to happen to people I have never seen before in my life. So rather than dumping them in the garbage, I write them out and maybe you will know the person and be able to warn them. Heck, I don’t even know what country they are in most of the time.
This time, they are all in one office together. Here’s what I know. A young woman, a clerk or secretary, has recently purchased a navy blue van. It looked like a mini-van to me and had one of those spoilers on the top of the back window. It has very smooth angles in comparison to Vanwitch, who could probably have swallowed the thing. She has a co-worker who is very personable and has been getting away with a lot over the years as the owner or boss considers this person sort of a “prodigal son”. Be very careful. This person will take you keys out of your pocket or purse and is planning on stealing your van just because it is there and he wants to go somewhere. Since no one has done anything to him on a variety offenses he figures you won’t call the cops but wait for him to return. Call the cops or you will get it back in pieces. Now, to the thief: you are about to cut your last lifeline and you may not survive this little “drama”. You’ve hurt too many good people and no one is going to be able to “rescue” you this time. Now for the employer: You should have fired or called the authorities on this person years ago. Now you are going to face a lawsuit and when I asked over what the answer was: Because they opened the door. This could cost you your business and your home. Good people do not have to be constantly taken advantage of. You can just say no, shut the door and refuse to open it. That doesn’t make you a bad person. It makes you smart person. Otherwise you aren’t helping yourself or the other person by helping them hurt themselves.

I’m working from home today. Scratch the working part. George had to bring me home from the shop. I was too sick to drive safely. I made a huge pot of chicken soup, commonly called Jewish penicillin. Once you make homemade, you will wonder what exactly is in that canned stuff. It’s really easy. I use chicken thighs because I like them and the meat comes off the bone easy. First I cut up whatever veggies I have left in the fridge. The only must for me is onion and celery. I will use celery seed or salt if really pressed. Last night I had red Aztec peppers, celery, onion, garlic and carrots. I just keep throwing them into the boiling water in a huge pot - you know - the one they call a Dutch oven that you never know what the heck to do with. You can’t put it in the oven because of the handles and it never acted like an oven for me on top of the stove. Well, it makes a great soup pot. I always throw a can of organic chopped tomatoes in but if you wanted to be “correct” you would blanch the tomatoes (throw them in boiling water for a minute) and peel and section them removing the seeds. I think you see the reasoning behind the canned tomatoes. Lastly, I put the chicken in when everything is really boiling good, cover, reduce to medium heat and go watch TV for an hour. In an hour, the chicken is done. I pull the thighs out and by accident last night I learned this; to debone them, use two forks. It works like a charm. Then I throw the bones and the skin to the cats. Keep in mind these are all ex-feral cats so a bone is not a problem. They will even hide them to dry and then crack them later for the marrow. They crack them by slipping them under my feet when I am walking around. At my age, suddenly hearing a bone crack while you walking through the house is not a good thing! Now at that point I could add noodles or rice but I prefer to throw a few parmesan cheese croutons in my bowl. That way I don’t have weird stuff in there when the next night I may add a can of green peas and a package of dairy case cheap biscuits and turn it into chicken and dumplings. The only problem with this recipe is you are guaranteed to burn your tongue because it is just too good to wait until it cools down.
I feel like I went 10 rounds with a prize fighter and am still on my feet, barely. I mean, it feels like someone hit me all over. Then there is the cough which is just plain annoying. At least my throat is better! I couldn’t talk when I first got up. The nausea with this stuff is the worst. I have barely eaten anything but that soup last night. Actually, that is all I have eaten. Providing George doesn’t come down with this stuff, he promised me a raised bed for Mother’s Day. So I will be out in the garden planting. I know what I want, I am just not sure of the practicality. I want a round bed with a pentagram in it. Cutting the wood for pentagram is the sticky part. All those angles coming together. Now if someone whose brain is in better shape than mine…the retrograde Mercury is sitting in my 12th house…My ascendant is Gemini….you could forward the inner angles to me.

I’m working from home today. Scratch the working part. George had to bring me home from the shop. I was too sick to drive safely. I made a huge pot of chicken soup, commonly called Jewish penicillin. Once you make homemade, you will wonder what exactly is in that canned stuff. It’s really easy. I use chicken thighs because I like them and the meat comes off the bone easy. First I cut up whatever veggies I have left in the fridge. The only must for me is onion and celery. I will use celery seed or salt if really pressed. Last night I had red Aztec peppers, celery, onion, garlic and carrots. I just keep throwing them into the boiling water in a huge pot - you know - the one they call a Dutch oven that you never know what the heck to do with. You can’t put it in the oven because of the handles and it never acted like an oven for me on top of the stove. Well, it makes a great soup pot. I always throw a can of organic chopped tomatoes in but if you wanted to be “correct” you would blanch the tomatoes (throw them in boiling water for a minute) and peel and section them removing the seeds. I think you see the reasoning behind the canned tomatoes. Lastly, I put the chicken in when everything is really boiling good, cover, reduce to medium heat and go watch TV for an hour. In an hour, the chicken is done. I pull the thighs out and by accident last night I learned this; to debone them, use two forks. It works like a charm. Then I throw the bones and the skin to the cats. Keep in mind these are all ex-feral cats so a bone is not a problem. They will even hide them to dry and then crack them later for the marrow. They crack them by slipping them under my feet when I am walking around. At my age, suddenly hearing a bone crack while you walking through the house is not a good thing! Now at that point I could add noodles or rice but I prefer to throw a few parmesan cheese croutons in my bowl. That way I don’t have weird stuff in there when the next night I may add a can of green peas and a package of dairy case cheap biscuits and turn it into chicken and dumplings. The only problem with this recipe is you are guaranteed to burn your tongue because it is just too good to wait until it cools down.
I feel like I went 10 rounds with a prize fighter and am still on my feet, barely. I mean, it feels like someone hit me all over. Then there is the cough which is just plain annoying.
