Forecast and Faery Finder by Janice Scott-Reeder and the Bitwit

According to Llewellyn’s Spell-a-Day Almanac, today’s color is Grey and the incense is Basil.

Happy Cinco de Mayo!

FORECASTS:

Deck: Navigators Tarot of the Mystic Sea.
Today’s Tarot Card is the Fool: emanation. Energy manifests into matter or what you think happens. All things are a manifestation of the one. If you want change, let it begin within yourself.

Astrological Source: Llewellyn’s 2007 Daily Planetary Guide.
Astrologically, the Moon enters Libra at 5:51 AM EDT. You may have noticed that things are going a bit backwards and communications messed up. Well, old Mercury has been in his storm proceeding toward being retrograde on Wed/Thurs and will stay there all month long. He is moving super slow so things are getting stickier and stickier. For the next week, only money will help and fortunately, the restriction on it are loosening up! The morning is rife with communications but not much changes. Although the afternoon is good for networking, first impression count more than quality.

Deck: Healing with the Fairies.
The Faeries say today is a day for creative expression. Start a new project.

Today’s Cat Comfort card is Cat’s Eye. “Open that inner eye. You’ll see what’s really happening.”

Deck: The Fairies’ Oracle by Brian Froud & Jessica MacBeth
Today’s Faery Finder is on the lookout for the Lady of the Harvest. Although she is a beautiful, mature woman, she is also called the Crone and the Old Woman. She brings completion and harvest. With that comes loss and grief and finally release. She helps us accept change and gives us the power and strength to move on to the next phase.

Today’s Lo Shu Number is 5 and the element is Metal. The Dragon finds conflict today but the Ox and Tiger have ease. It is an auspicious day for gambling and births but not for writing or haircuts.

Today’s Message from the Universe is: Every time a door closes, another one opens up toward wider and more beautiful horizons. The Space naturally created in my life now brings me even greater possibilities for growth. I welcome any change in my life with confidence and joy.” Annie Marquier creating a world of peace one thought at a time.
These messages are helping so many people that I am setting each day’s card up in a psionics generator so you can tap into the energy during the day. Just think of a rainbow and the energy will come to you.

COMMENTARIES BY JANICE SCOTT-REEDER

I thought I would start with a quote from small but powerful book: A Survival Guide for Landlocked Mermaids by Margot Datz. “Hang on to your integrity and misbehave with dignity.” This is a lovely, inspiring book for any female no matter what her age.
Purrbah is still locked in spin cycle with his tail. Napoleon is still making it impossible for me to work at home. How can you type with a Napoleon draped over your wrist? The flu is not making life easier and I have appointments on Tuesday. Ah the wonderful world of the business owner.
I have opened a Myspace page under Cosmic Salamander: http://www.myspace.com/cosmic salamander. If that link doesn’t work, cut and paste. Since I just opened it last night, it is a little sparse. I welcome all my new MySpace friends to the daily forecast.
Now for those of you who are on the side of different and wondering a little about the military, here are some startling statistics: 60% of military chaplains and 40% of military personnel define themselves as Evangelic Christian whereas only 15% of the population at large define themselves that way. You might want to read Faith and Magick in the Armed Forces - A Handbook for Pagans in the Military by Stefani E. Barner before you think you found a quick way to get a job or an education. Heck, you might want to read it if you are anything but mainstream, non-Catholic Christian. It’s a sobering thought when you consider the person sending you out on a mission may think you are already condemned to their Hell.
This has nothing to do with anything but eating. Arnold’s has what they call sandwich rounds. They look like flattened muffins. I got the whole grain ones and they are delicious. They are precut and only 100 calories. They are easier to handle than regular square bread.
Trying to work at home on your day off has its drawbacks: Napoleon, Purrbah and Purdy von Sweets to be exact. Ever try to design and publish calendar with cats trying to walk on your laptop? Not fun. But the new void of course calendar for May is now up on the Cosmicsalamander website.
