I can’t believe it! Costco ran out of gas last night. Our illustrious governor said we have 2 week supply of gas and the port was full and look what is happening. How do you know if a Republican politician is lying? His mouth is moving. Mind you, I didn’t need gas but the very fact ticked me off no end.Then came the announcement that prices will return to normal in a couple of weeks. Hey, if there was never a shortage, never an increase in oil prices, why did they go up in the first place? Why is it taking two weeks to return to normal? Isn’t that called price gouging?And I love the announcement that the “taxpayers” now own 80% of AIG. Gee, when other countries do that we call it Nationalization, call them Commies and Socialists and start making plans to invade the dictatorship. The only difference is: they “nationalize” or take ownership for their tax payers of the profitable companies. Uh, hey, guys…little hint there. Take the profitable ones. We, the taxpayers, don’t own 80% of AIG, we just agreed to pay 80% of their debt while their executives dive out the window with their golden parachutes. We got a parachute alright and the moths have eaten it down to the size of a hanky. I have enough trouble paying my bills, I do not need AIG’s bills. I just had Discover raise my interest rates for no reason. That’s exactly what they said. It has nothing to do with your credit history. So, I cancelled the card and mailed it back in pieces. I also mailed a letter telling them the balance would be paid off according to the previously agreed upon terms (I.e. interest rate). Bet you didn’t know you could do that?
