Chap Goh Meh or Tzap Goh Mei (Chinese: 十五暝; pinyin: shí wǔ wěi; literally "fifteen night") represents the fifteenth and final day of the Lunar New Year period as celebrated by Chinese migrant communities. The term is from the Hokkien dialect and refers to the fifteenth day of the first month, which is the occasion of the first full moon of the New Year.
The occasion is marked by feasting and various festivities, including the consumption of tangyuan. In traditional Chinese culture, it is also celebrated as the Lantern Festival or the Shang Yuan Festival. In Southeast Asia, however, it coincides with the Chinese Valentine's Day.[1] It is also when young unmarried women gather to toss tangerines into the sea, in a hope that their future spouse will pick it up – a custom that originated in Penang, Malaysia. In the past, this was also the only day that unmarried ladies could be seen with their partners.

Today is a total lunar eclipse. Unfortunately it isn’t visible here because the sun will have risen. You might see some of it if it is cloudy enough. I bought a fur rat at Target. The boys immediately found it in the bedroom, played with it most of the night and then against my better judgment, left it in the hallway. First thing today Purdy VonSweets runs in the bedroom this morning, grabs the fur rat and runs out with it. I gave chase to no avail. Finally Purrbah broadsided her knocking the fur rat out of her mouth and I managed to grab it and do the Snoopy Happy Dance. Yes, we are all crazy but the fur rat is now back in the bedroom and I am going to buy the girls one of their own.
Isis is still working on kidnapping Paganwit from his mother Probe outside the shop. I brought the - Heather don’t read this - Cat Chia Pet to the shop now that the grass is high enough. I got it last year and it still grew. It sits on the table, so if you click into the webcam, you will see it or what is left of it. Everyone had to have a bite! I guess I’d better find the bag of wheat grass seeds I bought.
Tomorrow morning I start the Adam and Eve tinctures. They help bend a person to your way or at least make them more receptive. Yes, they are made with whiskey. No, I am not drinking any. By the next New Moon they will be totally ready. If the lunar eclipse was visible here, they would be ready tomorrow. Then I have a few more things to mix after the Moon goes Full. The hour before the Full moon is for spells of increase and the hour after for spells of decrease or as some believe - before = good, after = negative. It all depends on your intent. The eclipse actually occurs at 9:38 AM at 20Leo52.
