Forecast and Faery Finder
By Janice Scott-Reeder and the Bitwit

Message from the Microwits: We own the house! It took two days to get our chicken sister, Flame, in the Mamma’s sleeping room but now we can’t get her out. She even jumped in the Mamma’s breakfast tray and we all know that is not a good thing. BUT, I, Boogaboo, nibbled that egg so the Mamma wouldn’t have to eat the part Flame smelled. I am a good little boy. I saved my Mamma. Then I gave Flame a tour of the room and even the Mamma followed me around for it.
Message from the Mamma: I totally blame myself. I was so anxious to get little Flame socialized that I let her in the bedroom and encouraged her. What did I get? I got a Microwit in the middle of my breakfast chowing down on omelet! That encouraged Boogaboo and I almost had no breakfast. This was not my plan for a diet. Then I spent an hour trying to lure them out of the room as they are too fast to catch.

According to Llewellyn’s Spell-a-Day Almanac, today’s color is orange and the incense is hyacinth.

COMMENTARIES BY JANICE SCOTT-REEDER

I probably had my entire day’s worth of calories for dinner. It’s a good thing the Microwits got my breakfast and I had no lunch. I had an Uno’s Rattlesnake Pasta. Goddess that was good and I have another tray in the freezer. That is super bad. It did bite! Oh well, I didn’t plan on eating another meal. I have some honey glazed carrots in the toaster oven baking for George. I’ve been eating them raw. Those little carrots are sweet and crunchy. I have chicken necks and gizzards in the sink thawing for the cats. I will cook their dinner shortly.
The temperature is 73 and falling. Fall is in the air and we have broken that 90’s streak we were on. Of course, the real first sign of fall in South Florida came when I turned the corner at 441 from the shop and saw the huge boxes of pumpkins waiting for their tent! That’s how we know the season is changing.
Last night I watched the first two episodes of TrueBlood. I got the DVD set. A little less porn and bit more plot and dialogue would have been nice. I’ve read all the books, long before the series, and there isn’t that much sex in them.
